July Blog Update! (Please read!)

I know it's technically only the 28th, so not quite July yet. But I wanted to do my update now while I had a little free time. This one is a little bit of a re-cap update as well as a what's coming for this month! Nothing too crazy, but please read :)

Last month I finished shipping out all the physical Kickstarter rewards! With the exception of just a couple people who hadn't filled out their reward surveys, that endeavor is now finished! This means I can move on to the next and final part of the Kickstarter-- which is the bonus stretch goal reward. This will be a roughly 20-page mini story (not a comic) that takes place on the day Judas shows Fletch around New Orleans. I'm not sure how long it will take to complete... since I haven't written anything in a couple years now I am anticipating some rust lol, but it's in the works!

I also resigned from the company Glow last month, which I know was a low-investment thing for you guys, so probably not a big deal. But I just thought I'd clarify that since resigning I'm a lot let stressed, and I've been able to keep a better schedule. :) So it was the right decision.

Aaaaand, just like life goes, removing one stressor seems to always make room for another, right?

Unfortunately, I've have been having some annoying shoulder/neck and elbow pain lately. This has been an ongoing thing for a while now, and I went to an orthopedic earlier this week to see what I need to do... They said physical therapy and more breaks... which is frustrating. I'm not dealing with an injury-- just some serious overuse of my arm from drawing. (Go figure, guess that's what happens when you put 40 hours a week into your art lol). So, I guess I'll be starting physical therapy in about 2 weeks. I'm not sure how invasive it will be, how much it'll hurt before it starts to help, and how many more "breaks" they're really gonna want me to take. Ugh. Long story short, I'm not saying anything is gonna change as far as posting/bonus content goes YET-- but there could be a little bit of a slowdown later into the month. We'll see...

I also wanted to say that THIS next update in particular (the second NSFW update that is for 5$ and up pledges) will likely take me a few extra days to complete. Ideally I want to be updating once a week, which would be Tuesday, but I think it'll be more realistically late Wednesday night or Thursday.

Last thing I want to mention is that at the end of this month-- July 28th --I leave for a week-long family vacation/reunion. We're going down to June Lake, CA first, and then to Bass Lake, CA, which many of you guys probably know from my novel "The Maple Effect"! This is where I spent my summer vacations as a kid, and it's very near and dear to my heart. I haven't been back in over 10 years! Not sure how this will effect updates exactly, but I can safely say that I WILL be taking the time completely OFF. It'll be a nice break for me <3 Plus, I don't have anything else planned for the rest of the year. Might as well.

Now that I've successfully talked you ear off, I think that about wraps it up... It's business as usual from here!

ps - (Oh! I've been watching a lot movies lately while I'm working from home (it's mostly just for background noise) and now I'm wondering... What are your favorite RomComs? Bonus points if they're from the 90s/early 2000s.)
