Blog Update!

Hello Hello, everyone! It's almost the end of the month, so I figured now is probably a good time to give you a blog update. I try to do this once a month or so, just to keep you posted on things going on in my life and what's coming down the pipe. :) If you've been here a minute, you know this already. So, let's dive in! 

1st - We're coming up to a pivotal moment in TLLT that a LOT of you guys have been waiting for (the big Kinley and Fletch talk) and I just want to say that, because it's such a massive point in the story, (Kinley's peak) I really want to take the time to do it right. I'm not sure yet if I plan on taking a couple weeks to work on that particular update and make it a double, or even triple-sized one, OR, if I will split it up to be more manageable and try to stick with my current schedule. There's still another update or two before this BIG one, so I've got a little time to figure it out. But I thought I should at least let you know. 

The other thing, that sort of goes along with this, is that I'm gearing up for a big chunk of work with Glow this month. If you don't know what "Glow" is, it's a startup company that is creating a platform for artists to easily make "interactive stories". Think... dating sim games, choose your own adventure style... etc. Rowdy and I have been working with them for a little while now, and we're actually gearing up to launch our first "play" (episode) of a brand new story over there. The tentative deadline for that release, is April 1st. And don't worry, we will definitely be giving you more info on it when the time comes. All of this just to reiterate-- it's gonna be busy for me lol. 

2nd - Some of you may have read in my last blog update that my cat, Faye, has been having some mysterious health issues. Back at the end of January she was diagnosed with "Idiopathic Vestibular Disease" which is just a fancy way of saying "Really bad vertigo without a known cause". She occasionally has these "episodes" where she can't walk straight or keep herself upright, and her eyes go wigging back and forth (nystagmus). Her vet already gave her a steroid shot that helped for about 3 weeks, but I'm starting to see returning symptoms... She has another vet appointment tomorrow, and I'm really, really hoping that we can figure out what's causing it and nip it in the bud. If things continue though, I can almost guarantee I'm going to need to take a week off just to relax and give myself a mental break. (It's been hard on both of us going through this).

3rd - Kickstarter update! Not a whole lot to say here, as I'm just waiting for the shipment of books right now. They are in production, and I'm hoping I can find some time in the month of March to work on the extra goodies that physical tiers will get. 

4th - Some good news! Rowdy is coming to visit me in May! <3 <3 <3 He and his husband will be coming out to Oregon the first week of May, and we're gonna have a LOT of fun stuff to do. There's a local, one-day convention in my area that we will be attending and selling some books at, then we're planning a quick trip to the coast to relax. We will also be signing TLLT Volume 2, and packing Kickstarter rewards while he is here! All in all it's going to be lovely. I definitely plan on taking a little time off then, just as an fyi. It's the only thing I have planned for this year, so I'm gonna enjoy it lol. 

5th - Not much else to report, but I do want to say thank you all for being so supportive and engaging. I've been having a lot of fun chatting with some of you on and off in the community messaging section of the Patreon app. I also LOVE that you guys are enjoying my Keplan/Harver doodles and character exploration. I can't really explain why now was the right time for me to start thinking about future comic ideas (lord knows I'm busy enough as it is lol) but drawing them kinda scratches an itch for me... Maybe because there's no rules yet. Nothing is set in stone, and I don't have to think too seriously about anything when it comes to them.
