Heavy stuff... Heavy stuff I'm afraid. Smh. I did warn you guys that this chapter was heavy, right? lol. The impending doom getting closer and closer. But hey-- at least Fletch is gonna take some action!
Despite this scene being a bit boring in setting, I'm actually quite proud of how I got all 4 character's in it and let their personalities come through. Judas remains somewhat loyal to Kinley even though he's not willing to lie to Fletcher-- he doesn't mention that Kinley ASKED him not to tell Fletch. Judas is... smart enough to know that would only further complicate things. Fletch doesn't know that Judas WAS very concerned about the bruises-- and that's why he tried to mention it to Priscilla and Dick earlier.
Seems those two are unbothered as usual though... It's worth mentioning that Priscilla and Dick have a VERY different perspective of Kinley than Fletch does. And they haven't been taking his hooking up seriously (up until now) because he never gave them a reason to. They're not totally dense or heartless, or even "bad friends"-- Kinley has just been good at hiding the truth from them. They don't see pain in his actions-- they see confidence and experience.
And why did Kinley want to hide his hook ups from Fletch? Well, he already told us... "Fletch wouldn't understand", which is really just "Fletch would see right through me".
This update proves that right, doesn't it?
Okay okay I'll shut up now LOL. Do your own speculating and piecing together <3 <3 <3 Hahaha.
