Blog Update!

Hello Hello everyone. I think it's been a little bit since I wrote you a blog update, so I thought now would be a good time to check in. I hope you are doing well and, to all the new followers, thank you so much for joining! I've gotten the chance to respond to some of your comments on recent posts, or say hi to you in the group chat, and I really appreciate it. :) Also really appreciate my long-term supporters too, of course! 

I have a little bit of frightening/upsetting personal news today... Last night my cat, Faye had a seizure and I had to rush her to the emergency vet. It didn't last super long (in fact, the Vet clinic is only about 5 minutes down the street from me) and by the time I got her there and the doctor took her back to examine her, she'd come out of the seizure and was pretty alert. They ran a bunch of blood tests/metabolic panel/chest Xray and everything came back good (So that's good!) but they still don't know what caused the seizure. It could be a neurological disease, or that she threw a blood clot and had a small stroke (unlikely though, given her lab results were good), or just a freak thing. (I'm hoping to god it was just a freak thing).

Needless to say, I'm a bit of a wreck and I've had a very long night, but the good news is that she's been fine while they've monitored her, with no other symptoms or signs of seizure, so I can go pick her up in a couple hours. 

All of this just to say, give your pets a little extra love today because you never know when something could happen. I never grew up with animals and Faye is the first pet I've ever owned-- she's my baby and my best friend and we've been through 7 years of ups and downs together. I mean hell, when my house burnt down in 2020, she and my laptop were the only things I didn't lose. So... yeah. 

Anyway, apologies for dumping all that sadness in my blog update. Aside from this, I don't have a whole lot to report. New TLLT update is coming out today (I'll post it right after this blog update), and with that I just want to say that I am trying to get back on a weekly posting schedule. I have been posting every 10 days for a little while now, and I can't guarantee that I'll be able to do 7 days, but I'm putting in the effort!!! Part of the reason why I'm determined to do this is because I actually just cut back my hours at my hospital graveyard job (HOORAY FOR PART TIME) so I'd like to establish a new routine and be just a little more efficient if I can. 

Last thing I will note: I'm dumb and forgot to buy printer ink for my 10$ kickstarter rewards. So as soon as that gets delivered (in another day or 2) I'll be able to send out the physical mail. Sorry it'll be a little delayed this month!
