"A Sight for Sore Eyes" - Character Exploration

Well well well.... what do we have here? I bet you guys weren't expecting this today!!! Let me back up a little bit and explain...

Over the last couple weeks (Since the TLLT interactive Play was released) I've been doing some serious thinking. You may remember the survey I made and questions I asked you guys (if you participated). There was one question in particular that basically asked if you'd prefer to see Plays made from TLLT, or made from a new original story. I had a hunch that your answer would be a new story... and sure enough majority of you voted that way. I took this into consideration when Rowdy and I met with the Glow team about how we wanted to proceed forward, now that we'd gotten a little experience with their platform and building plays. 

Here's the thing... from the very beginning, before even signing on with Glow, I was more partial to the idea of doing a new story. To me, it made more sense to keep TLLT as a totally separate endeavor-- but they wanted to try it out and I didn't want to pass up on the opportunity because of that. (and I'm glad I didn't!)

Long story short, after the TLLT Play was released, I talked it over with Rowdy, and we pitched this new idea to them. We went back and forth a bit, negotiated a bit, and decided this was the right course of action. I am overwhelmed with the sudden prospect of creating a new story, but I am also relieved that TLLT will continue it's course as is, and be my baby all on it's own. I think some of you will also be relieved to hear that! 

Now, as for this... "A Sight For Sore Eyes" is a story Rowdy and I actually came up with (on a surface level) a long time ago! And those of you who have been patreons long enough, will likely recognize the "Mr. Eyeball man" character, because I've actually drawn him a few times in the past! He's the guy who gets to harvest organ donor's eyeballs after they pass away lol. This story idea comes from my experience working in a hospital for the last 5 years, and all the crazy things that come along with it. It's a comedy/romance with some gritty real-life humor. And, as it stands right now, it will be our focus for the "Glow" platform. 

(If you have no idea what I'm talking about-- Glow is a new type of webcomic app that allows creators to build interactive stories-- "plays"-- for their audience. It's a start up company that Rowdy and I have signed on with!)

Okay, so, all of this just to tell you guys, I've been doing a lot of character exploration the last week! Mr. Eyeball man had a design before, but Rowdy did NOT like it LOL, and he also looked too much like Harry Potter... so, lucky him! He's gotten an upgrade. He's hotter now! 

The other character was made from scratch, but I think you'll have fun looking at the different color combo's and hairstyles I played around with to get to where we did. The original concept for him was to be more handsome/suave and popular, but he's since become a bit cuter and younger looking. I'd be curious to know how you feel about any of this, tbh! 

Also, these two DO have names at this point, but I wanna keep you guessing a little while longer before I reveal lol ;) 

I'm probably leaving things out here, so I hope this all makes sense lol. If anything, I'll tell you again later, keep you posted and all that. This is one big work-in-progress, and like I said, TLLT is going to stay my focus, everything will continue as it is now with that story/extra artwork/mini comics/etc. I just wanted you to know what's going on in the background! ;)
