Hey! Just a quick little update for you guys - I figured it was as good a time as any to release a guide for Spirit of Hunger. Much like the one I had prepared for Emily's Midnight Snack a year or so back, this guide makes use of spoiler-free text: that basically means certain key words will be redacted until clicked or hovered over with a mouse. They'll initially show up like this:
In order to ███, you will have to █████ and ██████ on his ...

Here's the new drawing, as promised yesterday!

Out of all of the endings across the two chapters, this is probably the most neutral? Not necessarily good for Eleanor, but also not bad for the spirit and certainly not evil - it's for that that I went for neither green nor red as my colors, but gray instead.
Oh, I've also got a nude variant of this! The ending writing has Eleanor explicitly fail to get her robe on after all; it was only fair.

Hey! So, I've actually not made much progress on the drawings. There are a few reasons for it! The first is that I'm a very slow artist, the second is that I found myself lacking interest.
This is not a cause of concern; this happens literally all the time with me: I go a few weeks really eager to work on a project, then lose interest for a while, then go back to working on it, then slow down, so on and so forth.
The drawings will eventually get there! But in due time, when I feel...

Yet another drawing for the first chapter! This one is for the hardest of the endings - pretty much a secret one, really. So secret in fact that when the chapter first released... it was impossible to obtain. Oops.
It now most definitely is, though. If you haven't found it already, good luck!
ARTISTIC CONSIDERATIONS / ALSO A HINT I GUESS
I choose red as the main hue in this drawing because I have colored the screens for the bad endings this way ;)
(should probably go...

Hey there!
Nothing major just yet, just fixed a couple bugs in the Apothecary event - you should now be able to play through it as intended (:

Along with the previous drawing, I've also taken care of this one. I didn't really know what to place for this ending in particular, so I decided on a view of the Vessel itself, in all its shiny glory. I feel justified in going for this: through the game this object is never actually described in too much detail.
Plus, this ending is for when you haven't encouraged Eleanor to gain enough weight, so there really wasn't much else to go for. Ending 1.2 will is quite the opposite! I wanted...

As promised, I have started working on some drawings for Spirit of Hunger's endings! That said, I actually decided to go for chapter one's endings first - that way I give just a little bit more time for people who don't want to get spoiled on the second's ones.
Also, they act as a baseline for all the next ones.
As for this one in particular, it's for the canonic ending - I might go back and continue working on rendering it further, but I felt it was good enough to be posted.

Ok then: let’s talk about the ASCII backdrop custom script!
Introduction
If you’ll allow me, I think this script is probably the coolest I’ve implemented into the game. I mean, you’ve seen it in action: it’s mesmerizing!
Now, I can’t take all the merit for it - you might’ve seen it already mentioned in the about section of Spirit of Hunger, but this custom insert is derived from another project called “2025-08-10 17:06:43 +0000 UTC

Hey! Just a quick little post to update you guys on what I'm probably going to be working on this August: that would be drawings for the second chapter's endings! And the ones from the first one, too. I'm going to try my best to have them roughly of the same quality as the thumbnail itself (:
Haven't got anything planned yet, but I will be going through the endings in order - from the ones you have most likely found first, to the more niche ones, all the way to the ...

Hey there!
Ok, so, first of all: thank you for all that subscribed so far. That's really nice to see!
This is just a small little post to give you a fix to the second chapter. In theory the version that I had uploaded onto the release post should not have had the bug in the first place - I believe it might have been introduced just before the release - but just in case you guys weren't able to access the abilities right from the start, you should now.
There was also a prob...

Alright then, I want to start the technical side of my game development with a pretty bulky one! One that, in fact, is still being worked on and being tested, and hasn't been implemented into any of my text-adventures.
Yet.
A BIT OF CONTEXT
Chapbook is a good story format for beginners! If you're starting out with Twine, I'd suggest giving it a try.
Hey there! As promised, I want to share some of my tools and experimentations on this Patreon.
I'm assuming a very small minority of people will actually be interested in this stuff! Especially because I am planning on having the first couple of technical posts be about the scripts I have developed (well, vibe-coded and then painstakingly debugged really) for Spirit of Hunger, plus the inner workings of the game, albeit simplified, and possibly without any major spoilers.

Hey there! Spirit of Hunger's second chapter is out!
This isn't just more of you poking around Eleanor’s flat - this time around you are following her through an entire working week at the Bristol Inst...

Hey there! Figured I'd start things off with a simple post for my first game :)
What is it?
If you're here, you probably know already!
Still, it's a text adventure\interactive story. One that immerses you into the life of a stay at home wife called Emily - specifically, a night where the lights have gone out, and one where she feels particularly hungry...
Won’t spoil it further than that, just know that there are quite a few endings to dis...

Ok, so, between the release of the first chapter of Spirit of Hunger and the release of the second, I worked on something a bit different. I decided to revisit an old project of mine!
That’d be a simple d10 system for making AI chatbots less predictable. We’re talking character.ai, spicychat.ai, 2025-08-05 21:00:00 +0000 UTC
