Greetings All!
Squeaking in at the wire for a total of 4 Items this week. Getting us fully caught up here!
I had realized that I had neglected Rods for a bit so I have a few in the pipeline planned, this one is a combination again based towards unique versatility and some different uses of low end spells. It is also one of the first that I worked a breaking mechanic into, which is pretty rare for me!
Let me know what you think and I hope your table gets some use out of it.
Updates: Eye color changes with a texture addition.
Truly, as always and ever sincerely, Thank You.

Description:
This is a peculiar rod, a twisted branch adorned with an oversized caterpillar. Both seemingly frozen in place with arcane energy, it sits atop the branch unmoving and magically protected from threats to their being. In exchange for sharing the user’s energy, they both extend their natural abilities to the user, making a unique Rod that cannot be easily ignored.
Tabs:
- The user’s Spell Save DC and Spell Attack Bonus each increase by 1.
- This Rod holds several features. Once used, they cannot be used until the next Dawn.
- Bush Berry: As an Action, the user can collect the berries that grow naturally on the Rod. They must all be picked at once. These mimic the Goodberry spell, but at a limit of 5 Berries.
- Defensive Spray: As an Action, the user can cause the head of the rod to spray out ribbons of sticky webs. Mimicking the Web spell but filling a 30ft Cone from the user at a DC:15. This feature does not require Concentration.
- Silken Cocoon: As an Action, the user can engulf themselves within a silken cocoon, which lasts for 1d6+4 Rounds, after which it will dissolve. This Cocoon has an AC of 14 and an HP of 15, and it will end early if reduced to 0 HP. While within, the user’s Speed is reduced to 0 and they are Incapacitated. At the end of each of the user’s turns while active, the user regains 1d6 Hit Points.
- Metamorphosis: As an Action, an attuned user can snap the rod and place it onto a deceased or piece of a deceased creature that has been dead less than 10 Days. Doing so will engulf the creature in a Silken Cocoon, activating a stored Reincarnate spell. For the next 1 Hour, the spell will take hold within the Cocoon. If interrupted early, the spell Fails. Use of this feature Destroys the item, as both disappear within the transformation.
