A very rich submittal from Corbin Sanderson, with tones of allusion to some other content.
I really had a good time balancing and adding to this while trying to keep it within the realms of the submission and flavor. Originally it granted truesight, but cut it back in flavor of embracing its magical darkness element. The Slaying aspect just seemed to perfectly fit the vibe of the blade.

Description:
This sword is a stark dark metal with violet ore throughout, edged with a purified alchemic silver. The hilt and design hold motifs of beaks and skulls as a homage to its maker saint and matron. Within the right hands, this takes the mysterious depths of darkness and crafts it into a weapon for the wielder.
Tabs:
- The user gains +1 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls made with this weapon. While in Darkness, this is increased to a +3 bonus.
- While wielded, the user is able to see normally in Darkness, both normal and magical, up to a Range of 60ft.
- Born In Darkness: As a Bonus action, summon forth an Aura of Magical Darkness in a burst of black feathers. This darkness extends to a 10ft Radius and travels with the blade. It will last for a total of 1 Minute, or until it is ended early as a Bonus Action. Once this featured is used, it cannot be used until the next Dusk.
- When the user rolls a 20 on an attack roll against an undead this weapon, the creature must Succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be destroyed.
