Coiled King - Art (PNGS)

This is a special thanks to all of you, a beginning of Patreon Exclusive week!

I enjoyed this as a Scimitar and Dagger, wanting to keep with the Light Blade. Shortsword would also likely fit, but I am holding off adding it until the editor has a weigh in. Would love to know your thoughts.

This prompted a look back to the Horned Serpent that will likely be getting a bump to Legendary and some tweaks to make the two better stand apart.

That said, I built this around the spyglass and expanded from there, I hope you enjoy these options at your home table!

Description:

This pristine weapon is honed to a deadly edge of sharpened steel with layers of gold forming a coiled design. The golden inlay runs the length of the blade before forming into the hilt and wrapping the handle. This handle swoops into the hood and head of a sculpted Cobra, with rich emerald eyes and a menacing disposition. It waits fangs bared towards all, with a regal display towards the creature that bears the title of King.

Tabs:

• The user gains +1 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls made with this weapon.
• On Hit, this weapon deals an additional 2d4 Poison damage.
• Spitting Cobra: As an Action, the user can invert the weapon and let the snake head spray out venom. All creatures within a 15 ft Cone must make a DC: 16 Constitution saving throw or take 4d6 Poison Damage and be Blinded until the end of the user’s next turn. On a success, the target takes Half Damage and is not Blinded. Once this feature is used, it cannot be used again until the next Dusk.
• While wielded, the user is Immune to the Poisoned Condition and gains the ability to cast the Speak with Animals spell an unlimited amount of times targeting only serpents and snakes.
