I ended up scratching two itches at once, trying to capture a Falchion and getting a new creature item in the works. I liked it so much, I ended up doing both item evolutions (albeit simply) for table play, including the charged state trigger. A little bit more fantasy compared to my more grounded takes.
I ended up falling into a deep dive involving the history of Wootz Steel last week and worked that in as well. I always enjoy how it looks when the patterning is a minor touch on the blade. I would love to hear your thoughts! Working in the Behir’s coloring was a blast, and the blue runes on the leather skinned palm are probably my favorite part!
