When challenged by Lois in a test of strength, he is literally beaten, overwhelmed, and humiliated. So, to punish him, Lois takes him and throws him in the trash. The idea of Superman being thrown in the trash is beautiful! After all, compared to the gorgeous, sexy, taller, bigger, more muscular, and much stronger Lois, Superman is nothing but trash!
