Or Would you want to switch back and forth with Pretty Derby S1 and then jump to CinGray S2 after that. Either way we'll get the whole series done! Probably dropping finale later tonight

I might have to put it to a vote because I dont wanna watch all the peak stuff immediately and make it even harder to adapt to watching the first season stuff. But I can see if the majority might want it like that

The arguments I'm hearing though is the whiplash from cingray to Pretty derby is gonna hit pretty hard since im already used to this one. I think if a skip to the road to the top it might make it even harder for me to watch S1 if that's the least favorite one. We might have to get Pretty Derby out the way first just so I can watch it without being too spoiled by the better series and animations

So I prioritize getting close to 2 weeks ahead before i jump on youtube links, since that's what people signed up for. it's probably gonna end up being a 8 hr straight recording on the 30th instead of two separate days. It's just a little more extra im doing lately including editing too

All the Uma series are largely their own continuity, with only references to each other. Just keep in mind CinGray is the most recent so animation whiplash may hit hard if going back lol.

2026-01-22 15:02:33 +0000 UTCSince you started with cingray finishing s2 first and then 'skipping' straight to road to the top and then beginning of a new era before pretty derby s1-3 is the best way to experience the series (imo). there's a loose narrative throughline between cingray and road to the top, the series are tonally similar and arguably within the same canon. pretty derby is quite different than the other series and in its own canon, also watching the others first paints a clearer picture of how important certain races are in s1 of pretty derby a lot better than the show itself does. definitely still worth watching though

2026-01-22 12:00:50 +0000 UTCAbsolutely CinGray cour 2 first, and then the rest of the franchise in order of release, so: Pretty Derby S1 > BNW OVA > S2 > S3 > Road to the Top > Beginning of a New Era Pretty Derby S1 will be a huge whiplash when you watch it after CinGray and is generally considered the weakest part of the Uma franchise by far, but it's still worth watching. Pretty Derby S2 however has the most sold anime BD of all time and many people consider it to be the best story in all of Umamusume.
