Her team is coming through. We get to see the fashion, the video budget, the acting. These new rappers don't know this. They are not story telling. It's superficial. Yes Nicki is doing trap rap with this song but she's giving substance and bars. She's not on a colored set with a leotard on showing ass cheeks. 2022-02-06 19:25:13 +0000 UTCAfter reading the other comments I’m clear my opinion of this song is on the unpopular side of things lmfao but overall I know I have very high standards for Nicki, her lyricism especially, and this just wasn’t it for me. I still miss mixtape and Roman Nicki beause that Nicki had way more substance and was extremely clever with her bars. Plus it didn’t feel like I was listening to a nursery rhyme. BUT I’m open to what she has to show and I really hope I actually get to see her music evolve to match her current life/experience. I respect an artist much more when their music can go hand in hand with the life they’re currently living vs what’s commercial or the life they used to live (i.e. niggas talking about trappin but haven’t actually lived that life in a very long time) - it just feels very inauthentic. With that said, I did enjoy the cinematic element of this video, very entertaining. I’m also looking forward to Bussin cause that outshined DWHAP easily
