Announcement: End Book 3!

Hey guys, I'm going to be sending this out to all Patrons and will make a post on RR on Friday.

We're about 12 chapters out from finishing Book 3, which means one month away!

This post is to announce that I will be taking a writing break at the end of this book. I'm not sure how long the break will be, but I can assure you that it's only a break!

I need a bit of time to recharge my batteries and not be focused on writing or putting out more chapters each week. I've slowly bled my backlog dry, and while this has been an absolutely amazing/surreal experience, it has essentially become an entire second job on top of my actual full-time job, family, and friends.

While I don't feel like it's burnout, it's getting to the point that if I think I keep pushing forward, it's going to turn into that. I love this story, and I have huge ideas, especially for Books 4 and 5. I'm extremely excited to share them with you all. I just need a bit more time to iron things out, get a backlog, and generally just take a real breather.

Next Steps:

When the break comes, I'll be pausing the Patreon. While I know some of you would stay to pay/support me and the story with the membership, I don't want to ask that of anyone during the break.

I'd rather pause the membership in hopes that more people stay subscribed while it's essentially free, so we can keep the community base and people are able to receive alerts or future announcements on when I'm starting back up.

During some of this downtime, I'll be editing Books 2 and 3 to send over to Aethon and hopefully negotiating an extension to the book deal for the future books in the series!

Everything started here with the idea of me just finishing my first book. If it weren't for the support and feedback of the people here, I don't think it would have been nearly as fun a journey.

I'm looking forward to returning from the break almost as much as I'm looking forward to taking it.
