Break Update!

Hey everyone!

Thank you all for being patient with me on this somewhat open-ended break. I'm here to give a vague timeline as a heads-up!

Book four is pretty much done being plotted, and I'm going to dive back into writing this week! I want to get a healthy backlog again before I start posting. That means I'll likely begin posting in early to mid-January.

This is still just an estimate, and once I see how writing goes, especially over the break, I'll give a firmer date.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm pausing the Patreon today for the upcoming break. My recommendation would be not to cancel Patreon during the break! With it paused, no one will be charged, so you'll retain your membership as long as you don't cancel.

As far as I'm aware, new Patrons can join, but they will still pay the membership fee. It's the recurring charges that are paused during a break.

Alex lay back on the ground, his chest heaving.

Mage’s face popped into his vision, standing over him. His clone smiled down at him and said, “What’s with that goofy grin?”

“Shut up.” He kicked out his foot, hitting Mage’s shin. The clone didn’t react, only raising an eyebrow. “You know why. This is huge. Fuck— huge is an understatement.”

“I know,” Mage let out a breath and sat down next to him. “This is going to be a problem, too, though.”

Gravity returned to Alex as he settled on the ground. He’d been excited to step from the Rift and back into the real world. Eager for the fresh air of his home world and a short break from the constant eyes on him in their travel across the Rift lands.

Alex adjusted his grip on the small bar of chalk in his hand. The powdery residue it left on his fingers reminded him of his first few months as an awakened.

In his crouch, he leaned forward to brace with his left hand while completing the last strokes of the ritual circle. The body tempering ritual that Eura had left for him was almost ready to begin. He still needed to place the reagents into the proper places, along with the mana stones required to power the ritual.

The group slowly made their way back to the hollow vein. Most of them were limping or wincing along the way to minor wounds, with Alex using his last healing potion on Robert, Aisha, and another man who’d been badly injured.
