If you play a sport professionally, the worst thing that you can do is bet on the league that you play for because it could undermine the legitimacy of the whole league which could end it. That’s why Jackie’s dad (Terrance Cook) betting is something he wants kept quiet. Pete Rose got banned from baseball forever even though he has the most hits of all time he isn’t in the Hall of Fame.

2024-06-02 05:16:23 +0000 UTCShe said that Hank wrote his name on the certificate *on the day that he proposed to her* - so unless he proposed to her on exactly the day Wallace was born/got his birth certificate (extremely unlikely since Alicia would then probably have said something along the lines of: "he proposed to me on the day you were born to be your father" etc. to acknowledge that fact) it follows that he added his name to the document after the fact. In regards to changing it: a birth certificate is a legal document that you are updating with new information, it's really not that unommon and done for a variety of reasons

2024-06-01 23:33:15 +0000 UTCI think Alicia said Hank's name was on the birth certificate, which would presumably mean that he proposed around the time Wallace was born, wouldn't it? I don't know how common it is to change or add the father's name on a birth certificate after the fact. Assuming it took her at least 1 or 2 months for Alicia to realize she was pregnant, that leaves 7-8 months in which she could've left Nathan and started courting with Hank, leading up to a proposal. (And who knows if Hank was already a friend in her life from even further back or if he was brand new during those 7ish months.)

2024-06-01 13:24:46 +0000 UTCI think the implication with Lamb and Jackie's dad is that Terrence may have intentionally lost some baseball games so people could get big payouts from betting on the games. Lamb says "you did favors for people who bet extensively on baseball." So Lamb's blackmailing Terrence with that information, and also threatening to expose his gambling debts, to get him to help the Sheriff's Department.

Veronica has been shown in the news as having dated Logan with the press coverage of Aarons killing Lily along with Logans own trial for the bridge stabbing.
