The Future of Speedrun:

You lovely people are paying me money, so I'm giving you a say in what happens here. If this is appreciated and/or works out well narratively, I'll see about making this a more commonplace addition to patreon benefits.
To get to the meat of the poll, I've got the end of the Avatar arc pretty much planned. It's going to be longer than expected, but what's new? Anyway, after that I plan to head back to the MHA world for a chapter or two, but then Tenko is going to look to greener pastures since he'll be running low on credits and be thinking about expanding his power set with a heritage option (hint about the second poll).
I have assembled a list of settings with lots of people to stamp and interaction shenanigans that I'd find fun to write. So the question becomes: "Where do you, dear readers, want Tenko to go next?"

I suppose MLP might have been funny for a short stop just due to the complete cultural dissonance, and dragging along a few characters when he leaves might have been good blue-orange morality conflicts to introduce to the new settings. Could also have done stuff like dropped in during s1e1 and offered Celestia the option to stamp NMM, or step in when the elements “failed” to “rescue” Twilight with a stamp and have her “incur a debt” plus however the stamp would handle NMM - split? Twins? Projection? Two minds one body? Two minds two bodies hivemind? Would have loved to see how you wrote the place and interactions. OTOH a lot of people seem to hate the setting and hate the implications that would come with this story format even more. Given how low Mobius polled, I can’t say I expect to see the setting anywhere in this chain, just dreaming.

2022-08-22 04:45:45 +0000 UTCHP might have been nice at first but it would be a complete steamroll at this point without intentionally dragging out the combat and intrigue or pulling a real deus ex ass to cause a new issue they have to work around. Naruto is something I’m admittedly only familiar with from fanfic and cultural osmosis, so I can’t say how much of the “filler” or powercreep criticism is valid. Either way if chosen it would be interesting to see a unique spin on things that isn’t just “tell Naruto he’s the fox box and let him imprint on you and then be super cool”. E.g. let Alucard out for a run to see how many atrocities he can prevent in a 24 hour period, or something like that. Hell, what about poaching the dude and some other ninja and then starting our own ~ninja gang~ hidden village via a bigger HSH unlock, and seeing what the waves are. DC/Marvel if chosen is going to be, uh, fun, I’m sure when it finally hits qq; nerds love to argue over whether Supercharacter could have just Nth-dimension Laser Mind Beamed the protag/antag/other Supercharacter, and then you get all sorts of “my unstoppable attack breaks your unbreakable shield” type arguments. Pretty much an unlimited power scale though, With This Ring has been running for like, seven or eight years now, so no matter how you want to nerf or buff anyone it shouldn’t break the setting too hard, and telling the nerds it’s an AU crossover and if they want to write how it should have gone omake they can usually gets them to knock it off. If not, mods are usually happy to step in. Whatever’s picked, what I like about crossovers like these is seeing a complete out of context character(s) come in and ocp all over everything, along with how everyone reacts which admittedly would be easier in Naruto or HP. We’ll just have to see how it turns out, but I have complete confidence it’ll be interesting.
