One thing I learned while making this page is that it's very difficult to create a visual representation of a character's inner thoughts without ripping off the movie Inside Out.
Basically I wanted to do an x-ray shot of the moment Lydia fell in love, conceptually not unlike the x-ray shot I did of the moment Bria got pregnant. (I wrote that as a joke but I'll be damned if it isn't exactly what I'm trying to say.) I kicked around some other ideas. One was to have Lydia's little inner self flattened by the word "LOVE" in comical fashion. But I'm not making a political cartoon here so I decided labels should be avoided if possible.
In the end, a talking heart felt very on-brand for TRW. Thanks for waiting while I was on vacation, everyone! I'm fully back at it now and looking forward to making the pages that come next.
