Added 2022-12-06 03:53:22 +0000 UTCSo this month's Discord poll was to decide which of my shameful old pin ups to remake, and Jessica Rabbit won the vote! That original obviously looks pretty damn rough to me now, but if I hadn't improved in seven years, what am I even doing over here lol.
Not sure what to say about Jessica here that I haven't already. She introduced a whole generation to the concept of being horny for cartoon women, which ended up being basically my whole career so yeah, she's a pretty important character from my point of view. You don't have to be lusty for watercolor girls to enjoy the movie she's from though. I'd argue Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of the most creative and iconic movies ever made. I watch it at least once every year or so and if you haven't seen it somehow, fix that, man!
In any case, hope you guys like the pin up!

2022-12-09 05:44:39 +0000 UTCThe screenplay for the movie is an absolute top-tier one. Think about all the crazy bullshit that story has to explain, and explain FAST, and they do it brilliantly. All those weapons Eddie uses against Doom? They were all established in the earlier warehouse scene. The only ones that are ass-pulled, like the Singing Sword, prove to be ineffective. They show Eddie's racism against toons, but also show him doting over poor Betty Boop ("Yeah- you still got it") proving that it's a recent occurrence and he used to adore them. And Jessica Rabbit entering a room TITS FIRST then singing an all-time lounge song ("Why Don't You Do Right?") is the greatest entrance any character has ever had.
