Dark Rey Sketch
Added 2018-03-29 17:42:10 +0000 UTCThe idea for this month's sketch for Mystery Street originates from an artist that goes by the name DevilHS. I copied his proportions, and apparently when women are brought to the dark side it quadruples their bust size! :o
On YouTube I follow a malicious yet adorable commentator named Jenny Nicholson. She pretty much just spouts mean spirited opinions about pop culture but somehow she's entertaining to me, couldn't explain why. Anyhow she brought up a point about Star Wars that got me thinking. Why are sith lords typically just as chaste as jedi? Isn't converting to the dark side all about giving into passion and emotions? Wouldn't that be a HUGE selling point for the dark side? Being allowed to fuck? Or at least have a girlfriend? It's almost like erotic possibilities aren't even factored into the scripts of these movies!

Makes sense! I guess I just haven't happened to have seen the stories that focus on Sith relations so I'm pretty ignorant on the matter.

2018-03-31 15:17:27 +0000 UTCWell, Sith HAVE been known to take lovers, but they’re usually pawns in the Sith Lord’s plans (i.e. a Senator or something they seduce into backing their agenda), slaves/hostages/whatever, minions/meatshields, or some combination of the three. Those who end up romantically involved with Sith pretty much uniformly end up betrayed, sacrificed, abused, manipulated and/or tortured/killed for sport. Ergo most Sith romances are either severely fucked in the head, oblivious, or unwilling.

Anyway... about what you said... that's a topic i frequently talk with a friend, and that's why we like the concept of a warrior in between light and dark (like the grey jedi). I pictured the dark side wuld be more fun hahaha

Which really just makes them MORE evil, when you think about it :). But honestly I'm just distracted by the boobies. Nice work on the eyeshadow, too- very evil-looking.

2018-03-29 19:00:24 +0000 UTCIn my honest opinion the Star Wars films don't show the full potential the franchise can go and never have for multiple reasons, target audiences, Lucas going mad with power and the Mouse. I've had way better experiences with Star Wars either on page or through a video game than the big screen, that's always been the case. In a nutshell, yes, Sith can get down and dirty. Hell, some of them even party simply because they can, this is explored in games and such. Sex can be used as a weapon, its not the most effective one, but its certainly an option. Passion and emotion comes in many forms and sex is part of that. Though many fans use it in fiction and such. When I roleplay in the Old Republic I've seen many instances of BDSM in the Sith and its completely justified. This version of Rey is far superior, good job Reinbach :D

Considering the Sith teachings they would have to be all over bondage and torture porn and asserting dominance and control via sex. Like fe. in KOTOR, why would Malak just torture Bastilla, when he could break her so much faster and hurt Revan so much more if he attacked her sexually. Sex should be both a tool and a weapon for Siths, it's the only thing that would make sense.
