Added 2018-01-30 02:44:25 +0000 UTCMy knowledge of the anime/manga, One Piece, is limited. (I'll get to that in a minute.) But one thing I DO know is that it's more popular than Naruto. Nami here positively crushed Sakura in the poll I posted last week. Been awhile since I've had one so one-sided.
I actually have a bit of history with One Piece. Once upon a time I was working at resort on San Juan Island, living out of my car and surviving on cheap diner food and coin operated showers. Needless to say my entertainment options were limited, as this was before everyone had the internet on their phone.
But somehow I got my grubby little hands on a copy of the first volume of One Piece. And I must have read that thing a hundred times under the dome light in my car. I loved the characters and was hooked. Once I got back to civilization I looked into buying more books, and was naturally disappointed to find it was one of those ones that went on for hundreds of volumes, an immediate deal breaker for me.
I thought I'd try the anime but that didn't fare so well for me either. The fact that I prefer English dubs didn't help, as the translated version of the show was marketed to kids and censored savagely. Still though, that first book holds a lot of nostalgia for me. And I think fondly of the series, even if I never saw close to all of it.

I know! There is no shelf space to collect that many volumes. I rather buy art books from videogames/movies and graphic novels. When the series began, Nami had short hair, medium size boobs and wore a lot of t-shirts. After the time-jum, her breast got biger and started to use only the bra and ripped jeans. 2018-01-31 12:20:03 +0000 UTCHeck, the most visited attraction in all of Japan is actually DISNEYLAND (and DisneySea, which is what Disney Snobs usually call the best park). And Frozen is the #3 movie of all time in Japan, behind only Spirited Away & Titanic. It's really a culture shock when you go over there and wonder why Disney stuff outstrips "manga/anime" by 2 to 1.

I never got to any of the other girls besides Nami, (and she sure didn't look like this as far as I saw.) But maybe I'll have to draw some of the others sometime. They sound like they'd suit me fine. :)

Nami was the first to be introduced to the story as a strawhat pirate, but from there i think on Vivi, Robin, Boa, etc... and they all have huge tits, and tiny waist. I'd like to say that One Piece is one of my favorite manga/anime, but it's TOO long. I had to stop with the manga becausea it reached a point where i was bored with the story, and the anime... well, to be fair, it'snice and the visuals are amazing, but there are too many episodes to catch up. I'm sure i will return to the manga, but not now. As for the Nami you draw, ilike her face, and, as Doctor Mortem says, it has an Lady Gaga air. I love it. Plus, i like more this desing post time skip than the original with short hair.

2018-01-30 07:17:10 +0000 UTCI love one piece, easily my fav anime behind Dragon ball z. In Scotland anime is limited for kids and I was raised on Dragon ball z from cartoon network. One piece I follow with the anime and the manga, got all the manga. Plus one piece has some epic amv's on YouTube, check them out if you can. One is called - "ZSK one piece - this is gon a hurt [luffy vs world] -" easily one of the best amv's I've seen made from the anime in years.

Noses are actually one of the absolute best ways to avoid "SameFace Syndrome", since so many artists just give everyone the same cute "button nose". And yeah, One Piece is HUGE, particularly in Japan. It was easily the biggest single anime fandom I found over there, and the most-seen in stores- it beat out the next three (Naruto, Sailor Moon & DBZ) combined. There was a HUGE store on Odaiba Island devoted to just that, and it had a themed restaurant and everything. Oddly, the only thing bigger animation-wise was DISNEY- this always stuns otaku & weeaboos who venture to Japan expecting it to be Anime Paradise, but Disney is BY FAR the most popular source for animation. And if you think Frozenmania is bad over here, you ain't seen nothing- Frozen easily outstrips One Piece, DBZ or anything else, in terms of popularity and licensed stuff.
