DoA 5: Last Round may indeed be my favorite fighting game ever made. Years after its release I'm still shelling out cash for wildly overpriced DLC characters like Mai Shiranui from King of Fighters when they become available. Might make me look a bit hypocritical now that I think about it, as in the past I've been quick to wave my fist about how paid DLC ruined Mortal Kombat and especially ruined Street Fighter. But somehow I don't mind paying five bucks just for a couple of character costumes in DoA. I don't know, I guess some micro-transactions seem less malicious than others to me.

I always had misgivings over the whole "DLC Revolution" that had infected console games the way they'd infected computer games, but if they're charging anywhere near full price for a game, and THEN charging people for the extra characters, that's pretty terrible. ... Chun-Li's thighs, though.
