The struggle...

So I learned recently that Poser is now owned by Bondiware, owners of the renderosity site. How did you learn this and why does it matter Dragoon? Well turns out that the server that were used by the previous owners to check your license of said software are no longer online.

Bondiware kept them up temporarily to assure the transition, but they were taken offline awhile back. What did this mean? Well when I tried launching poser last week, it ended up locking up and saying I had to activate it.

After waiting for a response from Smith and micro, I was told that ownership had switched and I had to contact them to get answers.

Basically we all had to upgrade to poser 11.2 which is the Renderosity version of the software. Now here comes the fun part.

I had to reconfigure poser with my other programs that are linked to it, Octane and Zbrush.

Long story short, I lost some scene that won't load properly in the new poser, some render crash  and sometimes when I manipulate in Zbrush I have to reinstall poser 11 because it get fucked up in a way that can't be undone.

All in all this has made me rage for a while and I was honestly getting ready to give up. But now things are better and I must say the new poser looks promising and with Bondiware seemingly serious about developing it more it's a bright future indeed.

So a small setback for the June and July rewards, hopefully I can make up in time now with the new poser.

Just wanted to update you guys when I was in a better state of mind than last week. So there you have it, restarted working on stuff today!

I'm sorry about this, my licence still works fine but I guess it's because I never updated after poser pro 2014
