Will Naruto be called Naruto Uzumaki because of Matsu Uzumaki in this miss. But then he might be the. Mizukage honestly we all know he’s going to do terrible things. He might be the red flash of the hidden miss. I hope not but was somebody similar we resign abilities. Will that look bad on Naruto because he’s a Uzumaki. sorry for the bad spelling.

2025-02-23 09:51:51 +0000 UTCMeant to post a comment a while ago, but couldn’t figure out a good way to word it, so I’m just going to post my thoughts/predictions right now. 1) I think that Matsu is going to become the jinchuriki for the 6 tails. Firstly, Saiken’s abilities revolve around healing and acids, which I think fits Matsu better than Isobu’s genjutsu. Secondly, I could easily see Gengetsu taking the 6 tails away from the Terumi. He likes to let his victims think they got away with something before reeling them in to twist the knife, like with Matsu’s class in chapter 10. He knows that they killed someone who had his favor to try to hide who their next jinchuriki is and Gengetsu has been uncharacteristically lenient with their punishment. Also, giving Matsu the 6 tails would make him much stronger in the long term, but completely body his chakra control in the short term, giving him more time before Matsu could become a problem for him. Additionally, it could prevent the Yuki head from trying to work with Matsu to assassinate Gengetsu because it would both make Matsu a bigger threat to him as well as highlight how Gengetsu’s continued rule could benefit Matsu much more than if the Yuki head would take over. Especially if he finds out that Matsu doesn’t hate Gengetsu for Rei’s death because she is still alive. 2) I hope that Gengetsu survives the assassination attempt because I don’t think Matsu will be ready for the chaos after his death any time soon. Partially because his alliance with the Yuki head will probably shatter the second he sees that Rei has the other Byakugan eye. 3) I’m curious to see if Kushina will show up to the Chunin Exam. She might be there as a way to entice Matsu to defect and join the Uzumaki clan member(s) in Konoha, but his ability to identify jinchuriki by their chakra is a huge security leak that they might not be willing to put up with.

2025-02-22 23:17:59 +0000 UTCI don’t think there was anything in the Chunin Exams in canon that required a 3-man team and forbid anything else, other than maybe the Forest of Death portion. Either way, that was a Chunin Exams hosted by Konoha, for it and its allies. It would be a political faux pas to include a team size limit for the test when Kumo, Iwa, and Kiri are also participating. Better to just have tests where team size isn’t a concern

Uzumaki genetics + a body trained to use the gates + medic chakra control for the win. That said, viva can do whatever. So, becoming a sage through the training of an immortal jellyfish, kaiju marine iguana, or common carp who after decades of training learned to transform into a badass sage dragon are all potential options still.

2025-02-16 09:32:25 +0000 UTCIf the "easiest" option is to survive a natural energy infusion which might cause my death, I'd be very motivated to explore alternatives. It's not for no reason that one point in the evil overlord checklist mentions not to absorb great amounts of energy carelessly. Matsu even mentions in chapter 11 that he wouldn't risk it without the energy dispersal stick of the toads, so I doubt he'd go for the snakes. Quote from chapter 11: "The other that came to mind was the Sage transformation. Which… Yeah, no. I needed someone to watch over me with a stick that disrupted nature's energy until I had a perfect feel for it." The toads are closely aligned with Konoha, which makes them a dubious option to begin with. Killing Jiraiya or Minato is off the table, and I don't think they'd aid their enemies. So perhaps an unknown third party really is the most reasonable option. Fingers crossed.

Which is a shame, because Hiruzen would have made a good monkey sage i think. Of course Viva can do whatever they want to with their story, so who knows what will happen in Riot. Giant sage iguana boss with an atomic breath attack could still happen. But if viva wants Matsu to use his otherworldly knowledge to its full extent, a trip to Ryuchi cave to meet the snake sage seems like the easiest path to matsu gaining sage mode.

I was mainly considering the utility of somewhat magical animals of the respective species in varying sizes, and the related chakra techniques they might possess. I imagine that a summoning contract can also get "diluted" if too many simultaneous users occupy time and summons, further encouraging humans to spread out among different summons. I had assumed that any sufficiently large summon clan that interacts with humans could potentially provide similar benefits, but I don't know if there's any established lore that makes it unlikely that others than toads and snakes can teach sage mode (I lost interest sometime during early Shippuden, so I can't claim to be an expert). The wiki at least doesn't seem to preclude that others may be able to teach it. I'd find it regrettable if the creativity of the story was shoehorned into the same groove of the original story due to such an arbitrary constraint. Purely based on the description in the wiki, I don't see any reason why sufficiently knowledgeable animals wouldn't be able to do similar things. Honestly, the described training methods and aides like the oil that doesn't work outside of the toad domain seem like complete asspulls used to justify bad writing or flawed in-world logic. Marine iguanas look rad as fuck, it'd be a shame if cool ideas like that had to give way to geriatric toads.

If matsu gets a kiri summons though, im hoping for marine iguana. The boss summons would of course be Gojira.

Foxes have no relation to Kiri whatsoever. The animals he could summon would bring almost nothing unique to the table. They wouldn't even be suitable for urban espionage like cats, dogs, or songbirds, because their bright red coats would make them stand out and they'd be out of place. Every single animal I can think of I'd pick over the fox.

Getting shadow clones and Rasengan is fine for foreseeable power increases, but that would be a power-up where the author can really introduce something new and fresh specific to Kiri. Since Matsu's mostly shackled to Kiri through circumstance, it's probably most beneficial to get an aquatic summon, or maybe a diving seabird. I think the jellyfish are the most versatile and ninja-like. They have medicinal applications like the immortal jellyfish. They can also be adept at stealth, have unusual sensory systems, fluorescence for deceit and illusions, and of course venom for assassination and incapacitation. I bet they could also come up with unique taijutsu and grappling styles for boneless limbs which would be interesting for either Matsu as a medic or any of his Kaguya associates. Power- and pacing-wise, I think it would be for the best if Matsu comes into contact before rising to Mizukage so the summons and their leader can't just get pushed around by Matsu, but act as a threat/mentor/schemer.

Even though Gengetsu is a terrible person he has helped Matsu career. I feel like if another Kiri nin was Mizukage he would have been killed after skull island situation much less given a chance to make legit change. Even Konoha would have sidelined him for trying to force change though they would not be so threatening.

2025-02-14 19:57:14 +0000 UTCHonestly, one of the biggest things I'm hoping for is that, at some point during the Chunnin exams, Midori ends up facing one of her clanmates who isn't a part of Matsu's faction, and she just utterly destroys them. (Be even better if another clansmen who is the opponent's Sensei is nearby and had been gloating to Matsu or been treating both him and Midori like shit the whole trip.)
