I really do love this quilt. I need a new bed to go with it.
When we moved from Los Angeles, we ditched our mattress and ordered a new memory foam mattress from Amazon. (I did two corset commissions right before the move, so I bought the mattress as soon as we arrived.) I expected it to be as comfy as my previous memory foam mattress, but I was mistaken. Two weeks into the relationship with the new mattress, I discovered it was classified as firm. No good for a side sleeper.
The bed hasn't been a priority, especially since we could buy cheap foam as a bed topper. I made the quilt for a new bed. No new bed yet. The camera needs superseded the bed. I think my writing side hustles should cover a Christmas bed. (I have to get a bed frame to support the new mattress as well.)
In the meantime, I keep the massive quilt in a chair in my living room. I break it out in the evenings when I'm cold and working from the couch. Or, I use it for silly photo shoots in my living room.
