Ukraine Part II
Added 2022-03-03 00:08:10 +0000 UTCI actually did hear from a patron in the Ukraine. I won't divulge who it is out of respect for their privacy, but I will say they sent me a very heartfelt thank you for my words of support, and asked me not to refund their subscription fee this month.
My reasoning behind that refund offer was because I know that in times like these, people need every dollar, or in this case hryvnia (the ukrainian currency -- I had to look it up lol) they can get hold of. I won't insult this person by not honoring their request.
Instead, I've decided to donate a hefty portion of this month's subscription income to a reputable humanitarian relief effort for the people in Ukraine.
I urge any of you who can and do have the means to do the same. Here is a site with links to a number of organizations spearheading various efforts.

Personally, I opted for Doctors WIthout Borders, thinking that there would be need for medical help, but ANY of the ones on that link I posted would be good. I trust the info from NPR.
