Komadori Inn devlog #2

Now summer is in flower and natures hum

Hello players!

June is around the corner, which means that another two weeks of work on "Komadori Inn" have passed and it's time for a small summary.

Reveals and further designs

As we promised in the previous devlog entry, we have already introduced you to the name and logo of the game, as well as the first female character - Fuyuko Mie. If you missed the presentation, you can check out her profile here. And don't forget that our patrons can see a lot more (including the full body nude shot!).

Of course, this is not the end of the character design work, because SleeplessMax is in the process of drawing the reference sheet of the next main lady. I think she's growing into my favorite of all our characters so far, and I can't wait to show her to you. And that's coming soon!

The player's movement and his first task

One of the things we wanted to change from the previous game was the design of the main character you control. In addition to changing the appearance itself, we also wanted to improve his walking animation, so that just moving around the world of "Komadori Inn" would be more fun. So Mugenji took the time to prepare a new Pixel Art of our MC and running in all directions. Once that was done, he began prototyping the first of the three main tasks the player would have to do over the course of his summer job. And this is a job at the front desk combined with office tasks. The initial tests are looking quite promising and soon we will want to give you this bit of gameplay to check out in the first first first super Alpha version of the game!

A whole new world

And so that all of the above has a place to happen, I focus on creating all the locations of the game, starting with those placed in the inn itself. Front Desk and Entrance Hall, Bar and Kitchen, Office and Laundry Room, Corridors, Rooms and Onsen... There's still a lot to do, but more than half of it is already behind me. Also, before I finish it all, in the coming days I will share the screenshots from these atmospheric places with you!
