COS: Castle Ravenloft Completed! Dungeon and Catacombs Part III. Strahd’s Tomb, Crypt encounters

"Buried deep beneath the keep of Ravenloft lie ancient catacombs, with arched ceilings supported by wide, hollow columns that double as crypts. Cobwebs hang limp in the musty air. A thick fog clings to the floor, which is covered in putrid waste. The black ceiling is moving."

Phew, this has been an epic job, but finally, the whole castle is complete with this final mega-pack containing 8 catacomb maps! (Definitely useful for other adventures than Curse of Strahd)

The southern part of the Catacombs with Strahd's Tomb is truly evil, with the swirling shadows and mist, I'm very happy about how this came out. 

I have wondered a lot about what distribution the vast catacombs beneath the castle should be put on the maps. As you can see, larger versions in northern and southern segments have been made, while keeping playability in mind. Sergei and Strahd’s tombs plus the regal tomb have all been added to them, while those areas around the tombs with encounters according to the book - I have also made with a more focused top-down view. There are six such maps, Crypt 4, 20, 27, 35, 38, and 39 plus a Dank Vault scene (not shown in the adventure module), which is accessible from Crypt 14. The thumbnails don't really give the feeling, but all include this terrifying moving shadow and mist effect.

This Dank Vault map is exclusive and will be sent out in a private message in early March. 

Find these under the file names of COS K84-K86 Catacombs South and Strahd's Tomb and COS_K84_Crypt... in the 40grid, webm and static folders, in a subfolder, named Catacomb / Crypts.

Although I do this at the end of every post, I would like to thank you in particular for all the support and patience, also from those who are not dming this adventure. Looking back on the whole set, I am satisfied, and I hope you are too. 

Now that I’m done and free of “Strahd’s curse” I would shift my focus towards more generic, versatile, and spectacular encounter maps, which, of course, might occasionally have their Shadowfell versions available.
