LONELY FORTRESS BY THE SEA + All Traitors Fall (5e Adventure)
Added 2022-03-30 17:06:19 +0000 UTC
Hey there Dynamic Folks,
I’m psyched to hand over to you not only the latest installment of my map series - Lonely Fortress by the Sea but a never before seen opportunity to actually dive into the adventure of the Lonely Fortress itself.

I proudly present a twelve-page 5e compatible adventure, a fleshed-out experience to play right at this specific location.

Among the ruins of the forgotten castle, on the levels of its barricade, and within the dungeon, in the deep, you will find how I crafted the matching tale befitting the visuals.

This adventure can easily be inserted into a bigger campaign as a side quest or as a separate adventure as well. You will find yourself spoiled with a list of creative ideas on how you can link this module into another setting and how your player characters can have different motivations to seek out the ruins.
Not only can you learn about the history of the fortress, but the secret of the true occupants of the ruins will also be revealed.
The route to the fortress can be played by beginner adventurers and for this I recommend some encounter ideas, as well. In the same way, you will be given a series of possibilities about how the ruins can be accessed, what dangers might be lurking among the rubble and why the moat is linked to the mysteries of the underground tunnels.

Moreover, several of the uniquely designed rooms have their own stories to reveal, ranging from pedestals to piers, and corridors to special caves. Having finished with the storyline, you needn’t stop there, since I offer some further adventure possibilities to continue this quest.
I’m very happy that I can offer you a completely new kind of gift for your generous support over the months and years and hope you like this innovation, too.
For those supporting all three creations every month, get the exclusive barricade versions and night versions without fires, upstairs level, and tower room props, animated harpy tokens, and more. I'll send these out in a private message tomorrow.

Those not yet among my top supporters should not feel they missed out on these either, because once you select to support all or 3 of my creations, you will receive these things in a private message next month, too. You can manage your pledge here.
I’m eager to read your reactions to this reward and how you feel about the adventure in the comment section below. I’d love to know whether you’d be up for a similar gift in the near future or if we should even make it a thing and revisit this idea on a regular basis.

Hope to hear from you. Happy gaming,

Helle, I just joined this epic Patreon and I'm totally obsessed with it! :) Can I get access to the additional files, especially the upstairs level for some extra coin? :)

Hey man! New here and I am LOVING these maps. My players too! I am however having a hard time finding the layers for this dungeon and other props you've previously mentioned. Any place I can find those?

I am running this as a part of our homebrew campaign tomorrow (5 player characters at level 2). I 3D Printed and painted all the needed miniatures and prepared the maps in Dynamic Dungeons Editor. I enjoyed reading the adventure and I am looking forward to run it!

As a newbie DM, I am very happy to see this small adventure coming with the maps! I would love to see more adventures with the maps in the future. Or more maps for the official D&D adventures (I see you already covered most maps for Lost Mine of Phandelver and some maps for Curse of Strahd) :-)

Props were included to use with the Dynamic Dungeons Editor. These were sent out in private message for those who support all or three creations/month. You'll also receive it this month in a throwback folder.

I really hope you keep releasing these small adventures with the animated maps. Some of my friends only play online and so I wouldn't normally bother recommending you to them, but this addition totally would make an online DM worth subscribing to your patreon!

beautiful maps! One dumb question, in the video clip there are some animations of parts of the tower disappearing to show areas below, how is this done after you load these backgrounds?

This is awesome! I love having ideas for a plot and adventure hooks tied to a dungeon map. I'd love to see more of this in the future (even if it's just minimal and not a full written adventure). It's very easy to toss into any campaign. Keep up the good work!

This is amazing. You should start a second Patreon where you team up with different writers and put out one-shots. I bet it would be super successful....... you'd get my money anyway. Cheers!!

Awesome, love this, while I love animated maps (and especially many of your creations), the biggest drawback is that you have to homebrew an adventure around what you're given (instead of running a static map from a module)... and I love that aspect of course, but it's also incredibly time-consuming, so this is a wonderful step in the right direction, bravo!

I’m glad you like it Jason. The next adventure will be for a higher level party. Maybe you could also adapt this a bit to fit for a group of more experienced pcs.

Thanks, We really enjoyed writing the adventure and especially the challenge of designing the pdf, which is a pretty new thing for me, so it's certainly not perfect, but maybe I can say it's good enough :)

I love the accompaniment of the adventure with these maps! I would love to see some higher level adventures too (5-7, 8-10, etc.) but this is an amazing start to a new area for you to work in. I love it! Keep it up!
