Dynamic Dungeons Editor and Player v3.0.

UPDATE 12.08.2019 We're working on a fix to repair the grid masking where the brush disappears sometimes. In the meantime we implement great new features, like custom FOW opacity on the manager window, default grid scale settings, prop hierarchy, easier prop browsing and much more. It's coming soon as a free upgrade, thank you for your patience.
UPDATE 26.07.2019 A bug fix for the WIN version is available to download. (Go to INFO menu in Editor and reach the shared folder from there clicking "Check for updates". If you don't find it because the Editor won't open for you, rename or delete the resource folder before launch. Editor will stand up if the resources folder is empty. Or you can contact me of course and I'll resend you the download link if you've purchased the app but don't have the link anymore.)
We've fixed the thumbnail generation problem, which occurred because on Windows, the app could not copy a file that is open or a directory  that contains a file that is open.  Now we fixed this, so hopefully there won't be more problem with the thumbnail generation. This bug caused black screen on load from some users. (The default installation folder of the app is now user/Desktop/DynamicDungeons which can be changed of course during the setup, but it still not making shortcuts. That'll be fixed later.) Also there was a bug which came out when the grid was masked, now the player will correctly show the mask.

I’m pleased to announce the biggest update to date for the Dynamic Dungeons Editor and Player!  With this, the program has grown into a really useful DM tool. 

This update is now free for anyone who has purchased any previous version.  If you've lost the original download url find the "check for updates" button under the Editor's INFO menu and reach the installation folder from there, or contact me on dynamicdungeons@gmail.com and I'll resend you the download link. (If you haven't already purchased the software, BUY IT NOW)

What's new?

We've completely redesigned the core of the program, so no Visual C ++ redistribution or Adobe Air framework is required to run, this caused compatibility problems for some of the users.  We also solved the problem when custom sizing percent was set for "Resize text, apps and other items" in Windows.

Let's see what's new in PLAYER MANAGER that has undergone a humongous transformation:

1. Move Props and Particle Effects and Settings directly from Manager

From now on, the png props and particle effects drag and drop onto the manager, the props moved using the manager appear to the players with the same, scale, rotation, position, etc.
The prop menu is always active and shows details of the currently selected prop. More than 15 new particle effect is coming with the app.

2. Visible / invisible for players option


This extremely useful option allows certain props to become visible to players when the story requires them.

3. Adding notes to the props


The prop menu also contains a small text box where DM can write comments, such as the current HP for a monster, etc.

4. Story Matrix in the manager

The third window of Player Manager is the story matrix window.  Not only can you navigate through scenes with your keyboard's keys, but you can navigate to any of the scenes in the story matrix with a simple click and the new scene will appear with a nice transition effect.

5. Auto launch and close of the Player

You do not need to open and close the manager and the player separately, everything is done by the Player Manager.

6. Living background and live particle effects on the Player Manager

Instead of still images in the player manager, it can be a video now. This can be set separately if your machine is strong enough, this function is off by default.  A file called config.json is created in the Documents/dynamicdungeons folder, in which you can choose to display a video or a thumbnail, and the size of the thumbnail can also be set.  Read more about config.json in the extended help which is coming soon with some tutorial videos.

7. Player manager has various size options. Press 1 to 5 when pm is active to get the preferred size. (2 is default)

The app comes with lots of new particle effects and some default dungeon grids, these will be available to download separately soon.

 More details:

 - The editor scans the library at startup and recreates thumbnails if you set this feature in the configuration file.
 - When the grid is turned on, the quad grid is the default from now
- A tutorial video and an updated HELP doc  is coming soon

Known issues:

-  The Windows installer doesn't create a folder in your start menu, so find your files manually in the installation folder and make a shortcut for easier access. Browse to the folder that contains the program. The default location is C:\Program Files\DynamicDungeons\Editor (and the same for the Manager and Player) Right-click on the program and select Create Shortcut from the drop-down menu that appears.
This will be fixed soon.

- If the HELP, CHECK FOR UPDATES and BUG REPORT functions don't work under the INFO menu in Editor, try going to Settings - System - Default apps - Web browser. Switch it to Edge or Internet Explorer. Then switch it back to your preferred web browser, it will do the trick. 

- We found bugs in the grid masking tool and working on a fix.

Help, Navigation and hotkeys: 

Editor

Left click on an imported scene (video or image) brings up the scene menu, where you can set the available cardinal directions leading out from that scene. You can also set the scene as start point, use the toogle switch to add fog of war to the scene, click the small gear icon to go tho the preview window where you'll be able to add props to your scene, or go to the image editor. 

Mousewheel / Shift + Mousewheel: Scroll in the story matrix horizontally / vertically and
scaling / rotating the background image in the image editor. 

Image editor: Mouse hold’n drag in the image editor: image offset

(Note, that the maximum supported resolution is 4096x4096 pixels!)

PREVIEW / SETTING WINDOW:

Click on the small gear icon in the scene menu to get to the scene preview window:

Make a "png" and a "particlefx" subfolder in your userfolder/DynamicDungeons/editor/props/ and copy the shared particle effects (only a few released yet) to the "particles" subfolder and add png or gif files to the "png" subfolder. (You can name the subfolders as you wish).  So the route to the files should look like this: userfolder/DynamicDungeons/editor/props/png and /particlefx. 

Clicking and holding down left mouse button longer on a prop or a particle effect will show the prop window (also works in Player) 

Grid hotkeys

G: turns the grid ON/OFF
Shift + G: open the grid editor in the player
Mouse hold’n drag: grid offset

Fog of War hotkeys
in player manager

B: Set the size of the brush (3 sizes) for revealing areas from fog of war (only if FOW was added to the scene in the editor)
Alt + holdmouse: cover it back!
Shift + holdmouse: rectangle selection reveal from FOW
Alt + Shift +holdmouse: rectangle selection cover
Shift + F: Reveal the entire scene from fog

Display hotkeys

1 / 2 when Player is active: toogle between the primary and the secondary display
1- 4 when Player Manager is active: change the size of the player manager window
I / D (or +/-) zoom out and back to the original size

I love the improvements to the editor & player. Great Job! But for the life of me I can't seem to get the background image/video scaling or rotating or offset to work at all. Even trying it with different scroll/wheel mice (MacOS 10.15.7) HAs the feature been disabled? According to the feature animations, it's accomplished as described below : Mousewheel / Shift + Mousewheel: Scroll in the story matrix horizontally / vertically and scaling / rotating the background image in the image editor. Yes, the maps are in the 9000x range

Are these maps larger than 4096x4096? That is the maximum supported resolution for the time being. (The upcoming version will automatically convert the large res maps to 4k.)

I like this already. In the map of Phandelver(cragmaw cave) will it be possible to add running water?Or in the ice caves of Rime of the Frostmaiden is there going to be a shiny sparkling ice floor that is added to the maps you load to give it that real bone chilling feeling. I bought some heroic map packs to use for a game and when I import the pictures it never leaves the "please wait for the thumbnail" screen. I even tried to drag and drop and it doesn't work either. please help!

If you unplug your TV from the computer does the program start up properly?

I started seeing this issue a couple of weeks ago as well. As it seems, the player app keeps crashing and the manager doesn't know what to do about it. I looked in the Windows event viewer, and the player app crashes from what seems to be an Adobe Air issue.

Tried to install / reinstall the app and when i try to load a map in the manager i just get an endless "Building entity cache system" notice and the maps never load.

I am not seeing the image editor icon. I have v3.2.301

Hi! The manager windows keep opening on the same screen as the player window, and when I try to drag them over to the DM screen, they go blank. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I'm also having a similar problem. the program takes a long time to open, and then when i go to import a map background it simply takes forever to load and just gives me a screen with "Loading" written on it. Any suggestions?

Hello, hopefully this is where I can get some feedback. I've installed this on two Windows 10 PCs, one intel based and one AMD based. I've also installed it on a mac. ALL machines have a bright flash when animations loop. Is this just par for the course or is there a fix for this that I haven't yet found?

I have not used or downloaded the Editor/Player yet as I am researching new laptops since my current one is woefully out of date. What type of minimum specs are recommended/required? I don't want to buy an overpowered "gaming" computer if that level of processing and graphic output is unecessary.

I'm masking the grid in the editor (saving and checking it), but the player is still displaying the full grid. Is this a known issue? Also, will there be (is there already) a way to save the "state" of the manager/player mid play-through, so that any fog of war and prop placements remain in place when the story is reloaded?

After finding a large amount of prop assets to use within the editor, I noticed they were not populating in the prop drop down box. After a little investigating, it seems the editor prop menu does not allow subfolders? Is this correct or am I missing something? Do I have to put all the assets in one folder or can I sort them within additional subfolders? There's A LOT of props so not having them in subfolders would be a complete mess of info. Please advise!

NVM; I just had to scroll down in the menu.

Is there a way to scale and/or rotate props? The HOWTO file for version 3 states " long press on a prop will bring up the prop menu for rotation and scaling." When I long press, I only see options for notes, Visible/Invisible, Lock/Unlock, Raise/Lower, and Remove. I hope I'm not overlooking something obvious.

They are in the resource folder (/system/user/DynamicDungeon/editor/Resource) and the file names populating on drop down menu of the editor, however they are blank thumbnails and they will not drag into the 4x4 "story grid" anyone found this bug? Hi!!! I just bought the App. Really cool! But i'm having a problem. When I open the editor I can't see the inferior part of the App and there is no way I can Scroll down to reach it. This is really bad because I can't use any of the editor features that allows me to mask the map or anything. Any ideas on what to do? I'm using MacOS Sierra with a LG ultrawide Screen with a 2560x1080 resolution. Any help is really appreciated!

Any word on a fix for this. I have oodles of vids and pics sorted in different folders and thumbnails are now not working.

I am also having an issue where images and video's that I put into custom folders, (II have folders for different types of maps, forest, city, etc...) There are blank thunbnails, and thus a black fow screen in the manager.

I am having some severl input lag when using the touch screen or pen on my new Surface Pro. The touchpad works great but I would really like to be able to use the Pen if able. Do you have any suggestions or plans for touch/pen functionality on a SP?

If you were planning to make any updates to the editor in the future, I was wondering if you would be able to add "Conditions" effects to the manager and player? You've already done some really great work here, and myself and my players love using your product. Is there a way to force the Editor to be fullscreen? I am using a television (32", 1920x1080) and a 4K monitor (forced downscale to 1920x1080) - I add lots of props to my scenes. Everything looks great in the editor, but then when I open the manager/player, all of my props have changed position by more than a few pixels. I am guessing this is because the manager/player are fullscreen and the editor is not. Thoughts on a fix?

Yea, I was clicking "back" until I found the fat client requirement. I get it, HTML 5 couldn't handle this but it would be great. Our gaming TV is run pretty much by ChromeBooks ( ChromeBox's ) so I'm afraid it would be a no go for any type of native support.

I'm having trouble loading in all the resources into the editor. I have organized the different map packs by folder for in editor organizing. But it can't handle more then 35 folders in the resource folder. At 36 subfolders no resources shows.. And the editor thinks the resource folder is empty.. This was not a problem in previous versions :)

Feature Request: When I use a gridless and toggle grids on using the manager, it always defaults to really small squares. Is there any way, once we have the grids setup in the manager, to save that setting for all future grids?

Took me a bit to pick up on the best way to use the editor. Unfortunately I'm plagued with an error about the array. I've tried deleting the files, and adding them back, but no luck. It works the first time but if I close and open the program again it throws the same errors. I'm able to work around it by setting the "forceThumbnail" setting to TRUE. But I thought you should know the 3.0 July 26th code still has this issue. Even if with the bug, I love it!

Soon 3.1. will come out with great new features. I'm waiting for that release to make an in depth video tutorial. Thank you for your patience. Till the new tutorial comes out, check out my YouTube channel where you can find some videos showing the most important features.

V3 Editor and Manager works great on 1080p so far. However I changed monitors and the new one is on 1440p and now the editor window is bigger than the primary display. Following the instructions on the help.pdf doesn't help unfortunately

Anyone else having a problem where you create a file using version 3, and it works just fine. You save it and open it again and receive "The story is made with . Current version is 3.0.0"? My game is tonight. Everything was moved to this program. I am screwed if I can't get this back up and running.

I really like all of this. I have an external hard drive on which I organized all the dungeons in thinks like: Wilderness, water/ocean, buildings, urban. etc. However if I want to have the videos show up in the editor, I would have to jam it all into the user folder, which defeats the whole sorting purpose, and I have to plow through a lot of dungeons when building things. Is there a way to organize this? Currently I see a cheat around that I could divide it in two groups, one in the 'defaults' folder and one in the 'user' folder. Does anyone have an idea/tip for this?

I'm very interested in purchasing this tool; the only thing holding me back is the inability to export to video. Using the Player is not viable if my group plays via a Virtual TableTop (VTT) software. Even when we meet locally we often use a VTT tool on a TV to allow for token placement and so on. If you made a render to video option, I'd snap this up right away, if only for the ability to add weather effects to static maps.

Are you turning on FOW? Try turning off FOW and saving it in the editor. "Shift F" will also reveal the scene in the manager. If that's not the case see if you can pull up the scenes in the editor by clicking the "settings" button.

You're better off just using a screen sharing app like Discord or something. You can use the static versions of these maps on Roll20, but you can't use the Dynamic Dungeons software through Roll20.

I'm having an issue where the particles I've placed in the Editor are not in the correct positions when viewing the map in the player. Is anyone experiencing this and find any solutions? I'm on a Mac, btw. Thanks!

@Daniel-- @DynamicDungeons I have this issue too it happens on both the original 3.0 installation and the 3.0 fixed installation for windows. The issue is with the file count in the thumbnails folder --- the temporary workaround is to delete all of the thumbnail folders in resources to get DynamicDungeons to generate the thumbnails again. I'm going to guess 256 is the magic number of thumbnails that breaks the resources folder.... i.e. if >256 pre-existing thumbnails are detected, and attempted to load into the prorgram, dynamic dungeons aborts due to the file count being greater than what the array or variable type can handle. You can probably just delete a subset of the thumbnails folder to get the initial filecount of thumbnails down to acceptable levels, but a blanket delete will fix all issues... Not something most people using this will experience, but if you've nabbed video files from all over the internet, you'll hit dynamicdungeons hard limit of thumbnails

after clean installing V3, creating a story, then opening Manager, the player does not display any scenes. I also am noticing that subfolders in resources and props don't work. I sent in a bug report for this; anyone else having issues that they've solved?

You use the editor to make maps. Just click in the box and load an image or dynamic map (which is just a looping video file) and then you save it.

I downloaded the WIN FIX version of the editor. When import asset, it creates a new folder called user. I am trying to find this folder or where it placed the imported folder, but I cannot find it anywhere, including the editr/default/resources or anywhere. Where do these files go?

Hi, I create maps, decorations, and animations for VTTs like Roll20, and I have had a few fans ask me about my animations and if they are compatible with this software. Most of my animations are created in webm VP8 format, and a few items i have made in GIF format. Next pack idea... Can you give us AoE spell effects that we can add via the manager? I'd be nice to show areas affected by silence/etc without having to draw by hand. Similar to the Pit you did for the arena? would be sweet to have some cones/ fire walls/ clouds/ etc

Gifs are supported now but they’re loading so long that’s why they should be converted to “.animation”. I’ll release the converter soon or implement to the app. The same with the particle system it can appear in a later version. Till that I keep releasing more particle effects.

It would be great if this worked with a vertically oriented TV and horizontally oriented computer screen. Just crashes when I try. Ideally it would still play the video maps in the right full screen mode. Know what I mean?

So just to be clear before I buy: I can work on 2 screens, my DM screen, and a player screen (at the same time, with a dual screen setup). one screen holds all the info for the players and with the other one I can switch maps, pictures or add elements? is that correct?

Yes you’re still using the thumbnails were generated with the old version of the app. Delete the thumbnails folder in the editor/resources/user then open and save your project on a different name. The new thumbnails will be generated and saved to your project folder under player’s direcotry in 1024px. You can set the manager thumbnails to false in the config file (documents/dynamicdungeons/3.0.0/config.json) and the same video will be played on your manager window but it havily uses your gpu so I suggest to live it as it is.

The Manager and Player seem to open just fine but the issue I'm having is that when I opened the editor (V3) it opens, but everything is black, no menus or anything, just black. On Windows when browsing the files set the filter to videos.

I'm new here. I got the old version to work pretty good fairly quickly. Import PDF of game map, convert to pic, crop and edit as needed and paste into editor, add wandering encounter maps between game maps which are fragmented into many frames, etc. I never used the manager. I split the HDMI output of the video card into two screens, one in the PC room the other into the gaming room and just used Bluetooth for the mouse and keyboard from the player to reach the PC. I've figured out most of the controls except I for the life of me cannot figure out how to advance the frames from the player. I can do it from the manager, but that is not easy for the way I'm set up. If someone could school me I would be appreciative of your help or advice, Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback! Scale settings are carried over to the duplicated token now, using Cmd/Ctrl + D. There is one direction communication between the Manager and the Player, everything is controlled now from the Manager that’s why we disabled the ability of moving tokens on the Player. A browser for the props will be implemented in the next version.

Yes I wrote in the post above that this is known issue, the win installer won’t make program Icons in the Start menu, so you need to make make shortcuts manually. It’s not a serious problem and appeared in the last minute so I did not want to postpone the release because of this. It’ll be fixed soon. I suggest to remove the previous version and go to Program Files/DynamicDungeons folder and find the executables there and make shortcuts.

When I install V3, it does not create new Icons, do I have still have to have V2 installed to get it to do anything, all it creates is the Dyanmic Dungeons Folder and an option to uninstall Dynamic Dungeons, this is for Windows 10, Intel Core I7 with 32 GB RAM, this is a high end Intel NUC with a radeon GPU.

One issue, tokens can no longer be moved in the Player Window. Also, would be great to be able to duplicate tokens and have the scale setting carry over to the duplicated token. It would be nice to be able to have the tokens and props in the Props Layer Window underneath the slider so you don't have to have a folder open in Finder, but loving the drag and drop feature. Odd question-- and maybe my setup is unique: Does anyone know how to make the 3.0 Player appear on the third monitor? No amount of windows button or forceable moving works-- it always comes back to Monitor 1 or Monitor 2.-- any ini files I can tweak?

???? - I spent 10 minures with the v3 editor. - First problem - We cannot use our old creations? I try to load my old maps that I have spent 100 hours putting together with props and particles, grids etc... - It just says bla bla old version. So ok, I have to start over, like after the previous update. Could you make V4 in the future, so old assets are compatible. Some of us use this as a tool building worlds for our players. - Second problem. I start creating a 4x4 map area, just like normal. I import a map video that normally worked. And it loads it in, but does not show it. - I mouse over the square, and its invisible, but still there. I can click and edit it.. - Then I try another map, it works normal, visible like its supposed to? I think what the F??? :D - I try 16 maps.. 8 that you made, and they all work like normal. Then 8 others made, so still normal animated video maps mp4. Those worked fine before. Now all other maps, not made by you, are invisible? - That must be a mistake right?

I found a good value (size) so the square grid fits my tv. It would be fantastic if it was possibly to save that for all maps or have it as a default value.

Just started trying out Dynamic Dungeon Editor and Player. I haven't fully explored the tool yet, but as a GM, it would be nice to add/remove on the fly "Area of effect" spells on players by drawing simply transparent shapes tied to a grid (circle, box, cone, line/wall). For example, dropping a 20' red transparent circle to indicate an area of effect fireball; or a square of green to indicate acid/gaz. In any case, keep up the good work! I love the animated maps and can't wait to see what comes next.

Still can not make Version 2 work on MacOS. Editor Screen freezes the minute you try to edit a particular image. Even when I save a map without editing any image it will not load on the player version. Okay, I managed to load the particle effects and props. I'd though you meant "youruserfolder" as my user folder in Windows. I only realized what you meant after seeing you explain it in a comment in one of these threads. Still need to know how to rotate or zoom the images though. Thanks!

Additionally, is there any way to manipulate an image/video when it's playing in a story? For instance, can we rotate an image, or zoom in or out to adjust scale?

I don't necessarly put the tv on top of the table, sometimes I'd rather leave it on the wall and would like to be able to move the characters / monsters tokens remotely. So i'm very new to all of this. I have signed up for the Chaotic Good membership. How do you get the maps to your computer. Do you download the ones you want or just run them from here. I was hoping to put all of the maps I wanted to use for the next game in a folder on my computer then just go through them during the game as needed. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Problem with the editor. When I create a 20 on 20 projekt I can scrole to the bottom but there is always a part missing that I'munable to see. its like the windows goes further than I can see.

You can use maps from wherever you want. The only limit is max 4096x4096. You don't actually resize the map for the grid, you resize the grid to fit the map.

Sorry if this was already covered and I missed it but I couldn't find a solution. Everything is running great so far with DD Editor however when a video file gets to the end it flashes white for a second indicating the end of the file then starts from the top. Just wondering if those was known atm, and if there is something I can tweak to fix it. I can live with it as it doesn't seem to happen in the player though I need to test more to see.

Hello! I am loving DynamicDungeons so far and we are using it for the first time in our game this Wednesday. I am super excited to showcase the beautiful maps to our group but there is one tiny thing that really annoys me (Which might have a workaround for all I know): Once I have loaded the scene in the player/manager there is no way of adding additional props to the scene ad hoc. This would be an awesome feature as it provides a great deal of flexibility and control in the scene for GM's. Additionally, I would love if I could move props from the manager screen instead of just the player screen. The way it's set up now makes it seem that the manager is only ever useful for fog of war (since you can also navigate scenes in the player by using arrow keys). Apart from those minor concerns, I am looking forward to trying out DD in our group on Wednesday!

I am thinking about using the Editor & Player for my in person gamerounds, but because I am not just using Dynamic Dungeon maps I am wondering if it is also possible to add maps from different sources. And if yes, do these maps have to be a specific scale or is it possible to resize the maps within the apps to fit the right size of grid?

Yes, we definitely need this feature and will be implemented soon, till that pressing a D (decrease the map) and I (increase the size back to the original) recreates the fog layer as full covered.

I’m having an....odd... issue. I use a surface pro 4 for my GM computer (ya I know, I think I need to get a laptop for this) but when I try and expand/contract the editor screen to fit my screen it does no horizontally but not in the vertical, half of the map table is off the screen no matter what I do.

What is this like preformance wise compared to Arkenforge? I bought Arkenforge recently and as my laptop doesn't have the best specs it somewhat slows down my laptops speed with me just using a static image of the dungeon of the mad mage floor map w/ fog of war.

Thanks for the feedback. Are those laggy videos 60 fps renders? Some of the files were rendered earlier in 60fps and there were similar issues for me with those files, but not with 30fps files. Can you check what is the refresh rate of the secondary display? Try to set it higher and let me know if that solved.

My current problem with Editor and Player is the big lags on 4K. I have laptop with i7 and GTX1060. Resolution on laptop is 1080p. But the TV screeen 4K. The dynamic maps are working fine under windows VLC player. But it gets very laggy in DD and fog of war. Any suggestion?

I basically want to sprinkl some fungi assets around some of the underdark cave maps to make it look like they're surrounded by a fungal forest and the caverns are just the pathways between zurkhwoods. it'd be awesome if I could bring the grid up over it though

I have a question before I buy the software: in the player manager is it possible to show the grid with all the pictures and just click one to show that one instantly, for example, they are in the last room of the dungeon and teleport 6 rooms back, or I want to use big still of monsters to show in between , so you pop from the dungeon room to the monster still and then back, without having to program the monster still on a precise point?

I just upgraded from the original version (which I loved) and for some reason the player will not load the stories that I just made with the new editor. Everything opens up fine and looks good but when I click "Load Story" it allows me to choose it from the folder and hit play but nothing happens. I just see the same grey screen with the "Load Story" option sitting there. Any Help?

Gifs load slow, that's why I implemented the so called .animation support, which is much more fast. In a later version it'll be possible to make your own. Now, I'm happy to hear suggestions for particle effects.

I cannot get the props to show up on my maps. I have downloaded and copied them to a folder I created labeled props within the editor folder as it says in the instructions. When I am creating a story, I select the torch icon and there is nothing within. I feel as though I need to add these to the editor by doing more than creating a subfolder, but I am at a loss. a little suggestion on the V2. the props and png can only drag onto the player screen now, will it be able to frag on the GM screen also? so that GM can control the props and token through GM screen to show more interactive with the player

Whenever I attempt to include an image the image editor just gets stuck on a screen that says "loading" and the normal editor displays nothing but a black screen. It didn't work, and in doing so created a endless loop in the file directory that deleted all the tilesets that I have downloaded to this point.

I think we've found the solution. Please delete the entire log directory under userfolder/DynamicDungeons folder. Not the ones under Player and Editor subfolders, but the one in the DynamicDungeons folder which contains avane... files. Delete this log subfolder, launch the app, then try to move the resources folder. Please let me know it this solved this issue. Again, make sure, it's an empty folder where you are moving to, because the new resource folder will be wiped out before copying. Do not use an existing folder where you have content!

You have to manually copy them in the props folder of your project. So they have to be in at least two locations when you're in the editor: the props folder of the editor AND in the props folder of the player.

This is excellent software and makes the setup for running an animated DND campaign extremely easy and quick. One problem I'm having though: No matter what I do I cannot see or include any "props" on my scenes (the ones you've included don't even show up). I've tripled-checked to make sure I'm putting them in the right place (and I even left the directory in the stock location). Is it possible to get scale, offset, rotate and crop for video aswell as images? I'm running this on pretty large screens, and it feels weird that I cannot combine different videos to get more elaborate dungeon maps. Cause now i feel like i have to "reset" the minis all the time.. :)

I've ran into a problem when making PNG's for my own props. When I drag them in, all is fine. When I reopen the file or show them in the player, only my the props you have made show up nicely. Mine are forever 'Loading' in the editor and not displayed in the player. Are there particular things you did when exporting the png's? I tried exporting as PNG-8 and PNG-24, both are 32 bits.

When you add a new userfolder, all content is copied from the older resources folder to the new place. The app won't delete the files from the original location, you should find all content in the old folder. (It means you need to manually delete these files from your previous folder)

Bug Report: When I move Editor resources directory to new one. The One on my D Drive with all my perfectly organized maps. It deleted all the content :(

i can´t open my old .dd archives on the new player there´s something i need to do to open those files in the new player ?

Great, thank you. Even a simple plain background will turn into animated scene using these particles. I'll give out basic generic backgrounds for each theme in the future.

There is no password protection on my files. What browser did you use to download the files?

Your content were copied to the new folder. Restart the app and you'll find it there. (The files were not deleted from the original folder, you can find everything under your userfolder/DynamicDungeons/)

Also i moved the resources folder and now all downloaded content is gone....

Long press on a prop will bring up the prop window. There simply click “remove”.

Yes, .animation files are already supported, and I’ll release an animated goblin prop soon.

Yes, but this is only possible on the player window at the moment. (And of course in the editor, but not in player manager) you can also drag and drop tokens to the player window, scale, rotate, remove etc.
