Honestly the sub was good but the dub for this episode holds up in my opinion. Mustangs VA goes hard for both sub and dub.

2025-06-15 09:55:07 +0000 UTCMustang's VA, Miki Shinichiro, absolutely knocked these last two episodes out of the park. I mean, he's always great (he was also Urahara Kisuke's VA in Bleach), but the sheer emotion pouring out of his voice during his fight with Envy and in that scene where everyone's trying to talk him down was incredible. He won VA awards for his role as Mustang, deservedly so. The English VA, Travis Willingham, was also very good but his voice is too stereotypically macho for me. A lot of people like that, of course, but I think MikiShin puts more playfulness and vulnerability in Mustang which I prefer. Finally, Ed has never been more like his father than in this moment. He said almost the exact same thing Hohenheim said about the enduring strength of humans back in that trippy recap episode. He'd probably throw a fit if he knew how similar they actually are as people.
