40:05 Being made to eat devilfruits was probably the least of their worries. Oda keeping us in the dark about what happened , only that they don't want to remember, really makes that feeling of dread worse. The fear of the unknown is strong, so the impact of that moment where the sister cry is much stronger. (though he probably left things out due to the PG rating of the anime/manga).

Luffy here proved to them that not all men are the same and most of the time men are normal humans.
