Yeah, there's a reason why so many mangaka deal with health issues... One Piece was nigh weekly for its entire first decade, which is, if you're any familiar with the manga industry, even for its crazy standards, straight up insane. We're talking 46 chapters (out of 48 magazine releases) every year. Now it's down to like 32/48, with Oda only getting this kinda liberty, due to how One Piece literally carries the entire magazine nowadays (+ tbf the chapters are also definitely way denser these days).

It was a brutal schedule with very little sleep. He used to pump a chapter out at a weekly rate and only within the last few year has taken weeks off other than golden week.

It was drawn and written by the same mangaka duo that did death note. It is called Bakuman and it is a very underated serie imo. You should definitely check this out someday !
