There are a lot of amazing moments in the series, but here (in the anime at least), Ed breaks the rules, he busts open the gate, toll and rules be damned for a brief moment in time, to prove that brotherhood...truly is an incredible bond.

2025-04-12 00:41:20 +0000 UTCAnime really outdid the manga with the final scene of this ep. In the manga, Ed tells Al's body that he'll come back for him as he's dragged into the door. Anime changed it to where he punches the door open AFTER it closed to tell him that. It made the scene sooooooo much more powerful. Ed literally overcame the Truth, the Universe, the God's power for a brief moment to promise his brother's body that he'll get him back. My top anime moments.
