2025-03-18 13:38:11 +0000 UTCI don't know if this has been mentioned in prior episodes, but Watchdog Man sitting on that pedestal in front of the station is most likely a reference to the Hachikō statue in front of Shibuya station in Tokyo, Japan. Hachikō was a Japanese Akita dog remembered for his remarkable loyalty to his owner, Hidesaburō Ueno, for whom he continued to wait for at Shibuya station, over nine years following Ueno's death in 1925. A statue was erected in 1935 (and re-erected in 1948 after World War II) to honor Hachikō and remains a popular tourist spot to this day.
