Lol yes that's what I was referring to. The 03 anine does have some differences before this point, but this episode marks the place where brotherhood is adapting manga material the 03 show never got to at all, and everything past this point is entirely different

2025-03-16 01:43:47 +0000 UTCIn the manga, May is first introduced after crossing the desert at a town that the Elric's already saved very early in the manga (it's also related to why Yoki hates the brothers). She tells them she's looking into immortality and they tell her all about the Elric brothers and how great they were which is how she gets her dreamy view of Edward. A sad consequence of having to trim some of the story down :(
