Usopp vs. Perona is One Piece at its best—ridiculous, clever, and unexpectedly satisfying. He doesn’t win with brute force but by completely breaking Perona’s mind, proving once again that he’s more than just comic relief. Zoro vs. Ryuma, on the other hand, is a masterclass in swordsmanship and honor. I wish Ryuma had joined the crew.

Two great fights (for differing reasons) back to back. What a treat. This is probably controvertial but i think that at this point in the story, a living Ryuma would have beaten zoro regardless of how many swords zoro had. I cant fully explain why without spoilers though. Essentially zoro acknowleges this by not counting the win (i would rather pretend this fight didnt happen) , meaning he wont brag about it because its only the shell of the legendary samurai who doesnt deserve this to count as a loss against his name.
