I don't like the translation "the slayer" here. Him knowing her as "Sousou no frieren" has a very different impact in Japanese. It's such a contextual language, so even though he's using the exact same name we already know her by, the meaning when he says it is understood in a very different way and presented as more of a 'mind-blown' reveal. You start out understanding her name as something like ~"Frieren the funeral attender", but the name drop changed it to imply that she's going to ensure your funeral procedure. I think I would have gone with something like ~"Frieren the funeral bringer", rather than "...the slayer". Partially because it's something she's known for rather than it being a title, but mainly because it keeps the double meaning with her attending funerals.

As you can see demons are far more different that it seems at first glance and in a sense are more close to monster than to human

In the manga, they sometimes use the word "humanoid", but not always. But typically as long as you understand the context, you can sorta figure out which one they're talking about.

Stark continues to be kind to Fern and she's just like, "naw, I can do it better on my own" lol
