I don't blame him for freezing in front of the dragon but at least he had the instinct to put himself between the villagers and danger. That's why he's awesome, I think: even if he is afraid he moves in the right direction. I'm glad you've met him now, since you've been seeing him in the opening credits. btw, if you hate the show ending... you could always do double episodes instead of single ;)
