2024-12-03 04:54:03 +0000 UTCI love that right as we're finally getting Robin's backstory, which has been built up this entire arc to be unbelievably sad, Oda introduces Saul to tell both Robin and the audience, "when times are hard, remember to laugh." It's like Oda's way of conveying one of the overarching themes of the series and also saying "better buckle up for this next bit." ๐ Dereshishishi

2024-12-03 02:02:27 +0000 UTCi think the important takeaway from robin's backstory so far is that she was bullied, and outcast, and didnt have a family, but she was still loved. To me, thats the reason she is able to love others later on.

Even at the age of 8, everyone is horrible to her except for Professor Clover and the other scholars/archaeologists, and she just feels betrayed by them that they won't let her study the void century (just sounds better than the blank history to me lol) with them. Professor Clover and the others just want to protect her but Robin just wants to belong somewhere ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Then Robin meets Saul and she finds a light in her darkness. Seeing Robin happy makes me happy ๐๐๐ I love how everyone gets up to the roof to join Luffy (Zoro, what are you doing? ๐๐๐). Zoro almost kills Nami and Chopper (such a graceful landing Nami and an even more graceful landing from Chopper lol), Sanji literally kicks through the ceiling, and Usopp is chucked onto the roof by a giant ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ I seriously have to wonder how the Straw Hats are still alive to even face Robin lol. Just look at everything they've gone through already ๐๐๐

2024-12-02 16:35:23 +0000 UTCOda knows how to create epic moments and pull at your emotions. There is a kind of weight lifted off the viewerโs shoulder when you FINALLY see the crew get back together on the rooftop for Robin. Itโs also just one hell of a badass scene.
