2024-11-27 08:29:40 +0000 UTCI love how Fern and Frieren's relationship is a bit like a granddaughter and grandmother trying to take care of each other. In this episode we can see how the way they value different things causes both of them to feel like they have to be the caregiver of the other, somewhat to each other's chagrin. Frieren wants Fern to take her studies more seriously and forgets that she's no longer a small child, while Fern thinks Frieren is a bit of a mess when it comes to practical things like drying her hair and not spending money impulsively, forgetting that Frieren has managed this long without Fern taking care of her and is still plenty capable, even in her "old age." They're just adorable together, each trying so hard to understand the other.

2024-11-27 00:44:15 +0000 UTCYou ladies do catch a lot. Nice catch with realizing that Frieren indeed does know her companions (both old and new) a lot better than even she realizes herself. Y'all catching that she learned the sour grape spell because Eisen likes them is cool. Frieren being an elf of habit is seen by both Himmel and Fern as they both knew that she would pick merkur pudding. We also see how fast humans develop in magic due to our short lifespans compared to Elves and demons. As Qual and Frieren stated, in a mere 80 years, humans developed magic that caught up to, and surpassed Zoltraak, making a fight that was impossible, easy after those 80 years had past. I'm glad that y'all are enjoying Frieren so much and I hope you continue to enjoy it as you watch season 1! Maybe y'all could continue on with the manga after season 1 is finished (and do chapter reviews). That's probably wishful thinking on my part though lol

2024-11-26 19:29:15 +0000 UTCthe 'our diets are different' comment by frieren when fern says she could be the older sister is actually a boob joke lmao, cuz fern is a little more..developed in that region than frieren, so she was like 'man i dont even eat less than her, this isnt fair' lmao. you can tell by the framing, since ferns chest is very centred and zoomed in at the start of the sentence and then you see frieren looking down at herself
