Pretty sure Jinx is still alive from what people have been saying. I'm going to be confused until their next project

She wanted Vi to have a happy life without feeling like she has to choose between her love for Caitlyn and her love for Powder/Jinx. What really tears me apart though is that Ekko mourned her as if she was dead so she is leaving him behind too. And RIP to our other great heroes and villains and well played to Singed who got all that he wanted in the end. If the old Orianna lore is still somewhat accurate though it won’t be long before reality strikes and Singed will lose his daughter again.

Jayce and Viktor could be in an alternate state of being, Jinx is speculated to have escaped, Warwick is unkillable, and Heim is a Yordle. They technically are spiritual beings who sometimes take a material form to explore our world, but they do return to Bandle City when their physical form is compromised. So we can't count our favorite professor out just yet.

From my understanding the BR are elusive and they don't know who the faction leader is in lore). I'm excited to see if they build on Ambessa's fourth (sacrifice) with the Madarda family as the fourth pillar.

But there’s no denying that all of it was as separate as could be from our main narrative and that’s the point. I think if there were sacrifices to be made, it’d have to be from that episode. That’s why I’d have preferred they just got more time, cause it’s clear they wanted it. Wouldn’t be surprised if they had to fight for the extra 10 minutes in the last episode

I am one of the rare people that gravitate to episode 7 this season as my favorite episode... That Powder version is the joy i was looking for. Ekko sacrificed the perfect life he could have wanted, with the girl that he always had feelings for, even when he gave up on her in our canon story, all to become the boy savior that our timeline needed. He sacrificed his happiness for barely the survival of others, to avoid saying happiness.

Given the time constraint, I think they managed to pack an incredible amount of detail and storytelling into this season - gonna take me few rewatches to unpack everything. I would have loved more episodes, but I'm certain I'd feel that way no matter what. The post series blues are gonna be rough with this one. Also, the soldier that they kept focusing on during the invasion is theorized (maybe confirmed?) to be Jhin. Riot is planning three more series covering Demacia, Ionia and Noxus - one of which has already been in the works for more than a year. And biblically accurate Viktor is sick af. Ugh. What am I supposed to do now.

The sting of Maddies betrayal can't outshine may love for scottish redhead. That being said I laughed way harder than I should have at the way she died.

The black Rose tries to gain as much influence and power as it can get while swain tries to end it. The crows belong to Swain as Hayley said and he just saw Mel successfully fighting the black Rose in Piltover. Since there is a crow coming with Mels ships back to Noxus Swain is probably eagerly awating the arrival of a new enemy to the Rose. Pls Noxus next!

Flash of shimmer eyes as the explosion goes off, Cait looking at the schematics and seeing air ducts/places she could have escaped and then that same airship at the end that Powder first sees and says she wants to ride one day. I think they left it intentionally vague though so you could decide for yourself what is more fitting with her riding away and leaving Piltover or dying. Either way she let go of Vi to break the cycle like her and Silco discussed.

Loved watching ya'lls reaction to this show and like you two, i'm also just a bit sad that it over but Arcane is cemented as one of my all time favorite shows now. I hope we get more in the future, even if it with new characters.

2024-11-24 23:32:18 +0000 UTCI agree with most people when I say the season was great, but it was definitely rushed at the end especially in comparison to season 1. I think we should have has 12 episodes total. 2 for finishing arcs or setting up more, and then 1 more episode for 2 dedicated to the battle. Then we could have a much smoother finale climb, and the battle could have more depth. We missed all of the opening shots and got dropped into it already going bad for Piltover. I think this was a Helm's Deep kind of opportunity and they didn't give it time to go there.

2024-11-24 22:26:03 +0000 UTCI would say im fairly satisfied with the conclusion, but I think they didn't have enough time for the heights they shot for. Likely due to how expensive the production is for an animated show. I really don't mind any of the places we went and I actually wouldn't change any major plot points. I just think we arrived at critical moments too fast. The time they were allotted just wasn't enough and led to some underdeveloped ideas and character arcs. I think maybe a few of them could have been improved upon if we gave up a little bit of the fan service I guess. Like, episode 7 was beautiful, but a third if not half of it probably could have been cut and used more efficiently. But I'd rather keep it all and give the writers another 25-45 minutes to cook with cause they do a good job.

This wasn't meant to be some long drawn out story, there are other character's stories who are meant to be told as well, and we will see in the coming months / years who they end up choosing.

Arcane checked all the boxes, and was extra cool for people already invested in these characters from the game. Really excited to see what Riot has in store for future stories to be told!

2024-11-24 16:27:09 +0000 UTCAfter the second watch I believe Maddie looks angrywhen Vi is back and Cait sends her out of the room in Ep. 8... so that could hint that she was just jealous and betrayed her at this point, which would fit with Ambessa's line about 'hazards of professional entanglement' as well... but yeah, just speculation. One of the many side stories that could have used a bit more screen time to evolve and resolve.

2024-11-24 15:02:20 +0000 UTCI enjoyed this finale more on the second watch with you guys, but the first time I was a little frustrated. Some have criticized this season for feeling rushed and while I could see where people were coming from I didn't agree until now. It was a beautiful and emotionally engaging finale, which is what I wanted, but there are a few things that left me unsatisfied. My biggest problem is that for five of this show's six acts the central underlining conflict has been Zaun vs Piltover, but in the final act that conflict is essentially resolved off screen. I feel like Topside and Bottom uniting to face Noxus should have been a much bigger focus, with Jinx at its centre embracing her role as a symbol. As it is I didn't really buy the Undercity's motivation for being willingly to aid Piltover. I was also annoyed more than shocked by Maddie's betrayal, especially the lack of details regarding her motivations. In previous episodes I was wary Maddie was going to betray Caitlyn for being a jilted lover, but I think now she was working for Ambessa from the start. Her past suggestion to reinstate the council was just a way of testing Cait's resolve. I think knowing she's a traitor but having to guess at motives will taint my enjoyment of episode 1 on rewatch. I also wasn't a fan of Viktor of being that mage. Causality loops are dumb. I do still think this show is a master piece though.

I didn't see the purple blip, but Caitlyn was studying the air ducts of the hexgate while looking at the head of Jinx' grenade, so this is probably the way she escaped. Besides - Powders first line in the show was her looking at an airship and saying: "One day - I'm gonna fly in one of those things!" And the airship in the end was the exact same airship that flew over their heads then...😍 Vander looking at the sleeping little sisters broke my heart...😭💖 This was probably right after he brought them back from the bridge. If I got that right, then this is the last picture of the two sisters together in this story, the picture of which Amanda Overton said that it was their guiding light during the writing, the picture that didn't change from the beginning nearly ten years ago...😍👌✨ I wish they told us more about Maddies reasons for her betrayal. I think she was placed near Caitlyn from the beginning and when Vi was out of the picture, they used the chance to get her real close to Caitlyn. But that will remain speculation until someone from the writers comes forth and clears that up. Other than that, I'm happy with the way it all ended...🤩✨

But the more time I rewatch it, the better it's getting. I'm shedding some tears here and there but not quite fully taken it in yet. Gonna keep rewatching until I sob like a baby :D

Later on you see Caitlyn piecing it all together as she's studying airducts for the hexgate, and we can safely assume Jinx escaped through one of these. And lastly the final scene shows us an airship flying off to the horizon, which is a callback to when Powder said "one day, I'm gonna fly in one of those things" in episode 1, and then it cuts off with Jinx-scribbles. She's alive, and her gift to Vi was letting her live her life in peace with Caitlyn, unburdened by Jinx's previous actions. It's actually a beautiful ending for both sisters, and maybe the best outcome we could have hoped for🙂

So many missed opportunities to flesh out plots and make the story more character centric or just have things breath and let characters talk like the first season. And there was bit too much fan service and unearned developments for me. I want to give the creators the benefit of the doubt because they only had one last season, but as far as we know they're the ones who limited it to that. So who's to blame. There was at least an extra season or two worth of content in this season. For all the issues I might have with this act though, there were things I loved, like Jinx's final form. Her outfit looked nearly identical to what Vi was wearing this act - white tank top with black pants - which had to be intentional. And her hair had elements of Vi's hairstyle, just a bit more crazy. Also, you're going to get a million comments on here and youtube that Jinx is actually alive and blah blah blah. Which is neat but it's pretty messed up that Jinx has to "die" for Vi to move on and be unburdened. They really couldn't have had that happen any other way that wasn't characters thinking others are dead but was still bittersweet? Especially after everyone Vi has lost, that just seems so unnecessarily cruel. And the more I think about this season the more pain I feel for Vi and all she has been through and lost, yeah she lives with Caitlyn now, but c'mon. Man all I wanted was for Jinx and Vi to be sisters again. Even if it were for a bit and then they parted ways knowing they were alive and loved. Just let them have happiness with each other. But I've got to say, Jinx's words: "Don't you get it sis? I'm always with you, even if we're worlds apart." After all they have been through and done to each other and themselves? It broke me. Finally, I've stated this before a while ago and I know that anime is your channels staple, but it would be really sick if you guys reacted to more live action shows. Like having you two react to something like The Penguin with all the jazz that happens in that show and amazing characters like Sofia Falcone whom I'd think you would love would be great to see. Of course, I am one person and you have your own schedule.

I wonder why they focused in on Caitlyn studying the air ducts underneath the central sphere of the hex gate. :) Bonus round, kind of interesting if you watch the very last scene with the context of Powder's first line of the show. :) What a great adventure this was.
