Best episode of the season, maybe even the series? So wrapped up in seeing everyone happy and healthy I kept forgetting Jayce was in hell lol

2024-11-25 02:56:37 +0000 UTCI think Jayce not coming to the same world as Ekko and Heimer (aside from the mysterious mage stuff) could be because he died. Either by the initial explosion, or two, because of Vi's death Viktor never came to stop him from jumping.

I suspected there was going to be some time travel/parallel dimension stuff at some point but I didn't expect it to be this beautiful and wholesome, excepting the Jayce stuff. Of course it's Arcane so it's all predicated on Vi's tragic death, and presumably Jayce being sent to Stillwater or banished from Piltover. Seems Jayce can't catch a break in any dimension. If there's one minor thing I didn't like about the episode it's Silco being there. In the same way I didn't like Marvel's What If making Thanos a peaceful bar tender either, it just makes this dimension a little too perfect. But I think Haylo is right this is the universe where Silco found Vander's letter, so I can swallow it. I'm pretty Ekko was just suppressing alternative Ekko's mind and possessing his body, but then that means Heimerdinger was doing the same and sacrificed himself and alternative Heimerdinger, and was fine with stealing his body for three years. Little unethical if you ask me. Also I hated Mylo's mustache.

It was beautiful inside (story, character development) and out (animation, music)...ππ Even the post-apocalyptic void Jayce walks through is beautiful in its dark, distorted way. π± ALTERED OPENING CREDITS: - The flashing images in the opening credits are always placed with the characters the episode centers around, in this case Ekko and Jayce. - Between Caitlyn and Jayce you can see the kneeling figure that Jayce get's his hammer from. - When Vis face is shown you can see the two V-shaped beams across her face change into an X, hinting at her being dead in this episode. - And when Ekko jumps the green light beam, you can see Heimerdingers face with his goggles on. Imagine how Ekko must feel after he spent half of his live watching his beloved Powder turn into Jinx more and more, no wonder he threw something at her the first moment he saw her. Seeing a healthy Powder smile happily is such a wonderful picture, it heals our hearts as viewer so much to see her this way. π This show is all about forgiveness and love and that everything you do has consequences, so Vi "had" to die for this storyline, as sad as it is. It couldn't be any of the others, their death wouldn't have such an impact. Her death - the death of a beloved big sister, a leader and protector amongst the teenagers of Zaun - triggers all the changes for the better. A teenager dying in an explosion at a failed break-in was the wake-up call both cities needed. Jayce is out of the picture (dead/arrested/banned) at a time where he didn't figure hextech out yet and Powder never figured out that the blue gem stone caused the explosion, so hextech got never invented. Having her remaining family still intact, Powder was able to make peace with the loss of her sister and the circumstances and could grow into this wonderful person we saw right now. Marcus felt for the kids and never got this angry and corrupted. Ekko never lost Benzo. Vander and Grayson never died and were able to bring the cities closer together. Silco found Vanders letter and they reconciled and were both able to let their vision of Zaun become reality. Unfortunately, Vi and Caitlyn never met. Man, I love this show so much... About the dreams, Ekko has: "Our" Ekko says he dreamed that Zaun could be like this. I think his dreams were flashes of this universe. Powders tells us that "her" Ekko sometimes zones out and has dreams that gave him ideas what to invent. I think that is him getting flashes of our Ekkos ideas. These universes (that are so similar to each other) seem to influence each other... This show is so great and so unparalleled can't wait to see your next reaction to it...π€©

Blue Peonies specifically represent an unattainable/unforgotten love, as Ekko isn't her Ekko. It also represents the 2 sides of Powder, the blue being Powder and the blank slate she's yet to write.

I haven't felt this attached to character in a long time, Even with recent anime and TV Shows I just feel like the story is so genuine. Great reaction, The emptiness of the shows ending no doubt plaguing so many of us.

And the way they used similar stop motion animation for both their bridge fight and their dance scene, it makes their scenes together so unique and I love all the callbacks this show does! Does anyone know what does the necklace that Powder puts in the drawer symbolize??

Iβm so grateful that Ekko and Jinx get a universe where they get to be happy together, but my heart hurts for every single character we grew to love over the course of this amazing series. Still processing a lot of emotions, but this episode was absolutely lovely.
