I love these kind of shows where a cast of characters are going on an adventure where the whole world isn't in danger from some monster or dark lord. It's similar to Dragon Ball where they went on an adventure to find the dragon balls, and for each ball they would help like a small town or person and they would get a ball as a reward. And I really like the idea of immortal elves being melancholic or emotionally distant because of how long they live. In the Lord of the Rings Eleves are that way as well, and I think they're envious of Men because they experience the tragedy of seeing their loved ones fade away in time, whereas Men pass away with the people that they loved throughout their life.

I'm not crying, you're crying (I'm crying, again)! Haha but I agree, it's astounding how quickly this story invests you with empathy and despite being incredibly sad, there's this gentle undertone of hopefulness. Can't wait until we explore more of Frieren's fascinating character!

I'm sure you've probably heard already but Eps. 1-4 of this show dropped all at once and they were meant to be watched together as kind of the setup for the whole show. So you'll have a much better idea of the overall plot after we get thru episode 4.

Man, Heiter becoming a more selfless man and Frieren becoming a more reflective, sentimental, and thoughtful (to others) individual because of Himmel's influence is just too wholesome ❤️❤️❤️ Frieren wanting to produce the flowers from Himmel's home is just so thoughtful of her it almost makes me cry (I really don't know why I don't cry with this show, but y'all almost got me there lol). So, since Frieren is an elf, her perception of time is a lot like Heimerdinger's in Arcane. They can both be extremely patient when it comes to the natural progression of things due to their extended life spans compared to humans. The only thing we know about her age from these first 2 episodes, is that she's definitely older than the human members of Himmel's party (including Himmel himself) and possibly/probably older than Eisen (the dwarf in their party). For me, this show is like warm cup of hot chocolate during the dead of winter. It just warms my heart so much and I'm glad you two are enjoying the show so much already 😁😁😁
