I can't see Jinx getting insane, at least not the way as it was before. It will break her, for sure. The difference lies in the circumstances. Isha sacrificed herself fully knowing what she did. She died knowing she saved her adoptive mom, not by a cruel mistake or as a random victim of the fight. Her little finger pistol was a final "I love you mom!". Jinx also still has her big sister and the respect and love of Zaun. The question for me is more, will she withdraw from everything or will she enter the final battle as a wildcard...πŸ€” I could also see her honoring Ishas sacrifice by doing the same for her big sister, painful as it might be...πŸ€”

!NO SPOILER, BUT SPECULATION AHEAD! My take on the break-up between Vander and Silco: I think it was Vander who led them over the bridge, peacefully at first (why else would the parents leave two little girls home alone, if they weren't fully expecting to be back soon?) or at least not planning to fight, but then something that Silco did (or Vander believed it was Silco who did it) let the Demo escalate into a fight, where molotov cocktails were thrown and Enforcers started shooting. This caused many deaths, amongst them Felicia and Connel. Soon after, the two girls arrive at the scene and Vander takes them home. When Vander dropped them off, he immediately turned around, filled with pain and guilt, put all the blame on Silco and went after him, tried to kill him but Silco managed to escape. I think it was immediately after, because when we saw Vanders silhouette from Silcos perspective, the sky behind him was red. That means they were close to the bridge and the bridge was still burning. After some time Vander came to regret what he'd done, makes him self accountable for what was his share in this mess and tried to find Silco to apologize. With no luck. Vander then took a full u-turn and stepped away from their shared vision of Zaun and concentrated on keeping the peace and raise the children (I could imagine that Mylo and Claggor lost their parents on the bridge, too). The rest, as you say, is history...πŸ€”πŸ™ˆ When Vander and Silco saw each other as brothers, I guess they saw Felicia as their sister, that would explain the trio's closeness and the almost invisible father, because he was an outsider to this friends group. The three might very well have grown up together...πŸ€”πŸ™‚ I wouldn't be surprised, if the story ends at that bridge in that night and the sisters learn what exactly had happened.

Nope, still can't do. Still ugly crying, even after my second re-watch... or, as so many people put it so eloquently in words – this show fucks me up...πŸ€―πŸ™ˆπŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’”πŸ’” Nonetheless, let me break my thoughts about the episode down. Viktors power may be finite, but the pain this show deals out is infinite...πŸ˜πŸ™ˆ Thoughts and Observations on this one: - Two quotes from Jinx reverberate in my mind: "If you ever want to curse a sibling [...] that's my card." and "Everybody who gets close to me, dies." It seems her fate hasn't changed that much. 😭 I am really worried about Jinx now. She came this far, even got her big sister back and had a beautiful little family-by-choice. She had a big sister (Vi), a little sister (Isha), a dad (Vander/Warwick) and even a grumpy aunt (Sevika). I so fear that she will fall back into the darkest depths of her trauma. At least Caitlyn should be off her back now (at least for the foreseeable future), since she saved her life. They are kind of even and I put my hope in the fact, that the compassionate, self-thinking, not manipulated Caitlyn, the one that Vi fell for, is a person that is able to forgive. The question is, will Jinx still be interested in any of this or is she back at the point where she just wants to die? No, she won't descend that far, because that would betray Ishas sacrifice. πŸ€”πŸ˜³ - And still, in all this devastating mayhem, there are the great one-liners, this time from Caitlyn: β€œYou look like an angry oil slick!” πŸ˜‚ - Caitlyn learning to fight from Ambessa will come in handy in act 3, that I'm sure of. Ambessa is a great martial arts coach, she seemed almost glad to have a kinda-daughter again, one at who is willing and eager to learn from her. Caitlyn on the other hand is clever enough (again) to take only from Ambessa what she needs, not everything she tells her. - The Jayce/Viktor thing is very intriguing. Do you remember when they discussed the Arcane and Heimerdinger said β€œevery action causes a reaction”, but it is not due to mankind's trouble with taking power, but a natural consequence of the Arcane - or Ekkos β€œYou mean this pattern is on my tree because you pissed off the Arcane?” and that causes the wild runes? And furthermore, Heimerdinger said: "I've seen miracles spring from the hands of mages so many times, but so often they turned to horrors"? Victor creating this commune and keeping it alive with the power of the β€œapex hextech” he represents could have indeed pissed off the Arcane and Jayce is de facto the wild rune, that got send to stop it? Remember, right before he vanished into the Arcane, he saw something that frightened him and he said β€œWhat have we done?” (another mad scientist standard...πŸ˜…) What if he saw a future where unimaginable horrible things will happen when Viktor continues to β€œpiss the Arcane off”? Or where Viktor evolves to something else? Maybe Ekkos time manipulation abilitys (that were hinted at throughout the show) come into play here somehow? Jayce saw the miracle turn to horror and clearly seemed to be send on a mission by someone. He saw Viktor as the source of evil. And he killed Salo because Salo wanted to bring more hextech to Viktor and he couldn't let that happen. In the end, Jayce just did what he promised Viktor to do - he destroyed the hexcore. πŸ€” - The devastatingly bad timing of Jinx, Vi and Isha caused them to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think we will see Isha again, as painful as it is, but with Vander I'm not so sure, he has a strong will to survive and β€œapex shimmer”, injected by Singed, that has (amongst others) incredible healing powers. The blast may have knocked him out, but I'm not sure it killed him. But Isha accomplished what she wanted – to save her family...πŸ˜πŸ™ˆ - That short glimpses in Vi and Jinxes childhood through Vanders memories was so heartbreaking and at the same time beautiful. And this aquarelle style in bright colours was so so beautiful...πŸ’–πŸ˜πŸ’”πŸ™ˆ - The question for me is – Is Viktor really healing them, when their lives are bound to his survival? Or do they just change their dependency? If Viktor would have healed Vander, he would have died for sure. I have the feeling, Viktors body may have died, but he is still part of the Arcane, like Sky, maybe? - The look on Ambessas face when she saw Caitlyn – she did believe in her loyalty, I guess she actually saw some kind of daughter in her...πŸ€” - I think Viktors last sentence summed it up perfectly: β€œWhat inspires us to our greatest good is also the cause of our greatest evil.” Or, in other words: The road to hell is paved with good intentions." And I am sure, that this fits for the Arcane. He did a lot of things he thought were good, but the price for them is too high – At least Jayce seems to think so. - I'm so excited to know what happened to Mel in the mean time, when Ekko and Heimerdinger will finally be back and what they will have to say about all of this...😱 - Sevika and the surviving chembarons weren't seen in a long time, I wonder what happened to them...πŸ™ˆ Let's do it like with the end of season 1, wait till the smoke has cleared and who comes out alive at the end. The good thing is, we'll only have to wait less than a week...πŸ™‚ Oh man, what a ride. Every time – every time you think they are on the top level of storytelling, they just raise the roof a little bit more. As I said – this is so good, it is overwhelming. I actually begin to fear the release of arc 3 a little bit...πŸ˜…πŸ™ˆπŸ€―πŸ˜πŸ’–πŸ˜πŸ€© This was great to watch with you, see you next week! πŸ™‚πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I like that we've finally worn off the rose colored glasses of Hextech and can see it for the dangerous nightmare that it is. It's a parallel to the occult/black magic in the real world. You can in actual fact summon powers beyond human comprehension, but there is always a price. I think Jayce is the most misunderstood hero of the episode. Isha is the biggest hero for literally being willing to sacrifice herself for her mom. Yes, Jinx is her mom, and I honestly have no idea whether Isha's death will drive her insane or make her sane.. And Ambessa is the biggest villain of the entire season, frankly. We thought the Black Rose was evil at first but in reality they're seeking to save Mel from being stuck in her bloodthirsty warmongering mother's clutches, which I am personally thrilled by. I'm sure she won't be thrilled, though. And that'll cause problems for herself in all likelihood. The big question is: will plot armor remain intact in the final act? Will the show ultimately just be about showing how each character reaches their final, in-game form? Singed now works for Noxus, which pretty much explains his story. We'll see what happens with everyone else.

Theo

I expect the finale to tease a bunch of new worlds that will be featured in the next show.

Theo

How do you figure that??? Onlu assuming there's no saving Vander after the Apex shimmer injection, and, as Singed would say, "sometimes death is a mercy."

Theo

Call me bloodthirsty, but I've been really disappointed by the plot armor, especially for Ambessa. I deeply dislike her and wanted her to die multiple times in this Act. First, Vander should've easily killed her. Second, Vi should've easily killed her. But she's a champion now so she'll probably live the finale.

Theo

Hot take: Sky will become Bel'veth, a Void monstrosity that literally consumes the sky.

I think small parts of them are being kept, like you can see their personalities when they are inside viktors "mind", but the bodies are basically husks with memory. They are more like voices inside viktors mind, and even those voices are still "infected" with whatever Viktor has got. JAYCE DID NO WRONG

I watched this in Saturday morning cause I had the day off, wow was that ever a mistake. I knew she probably wasn't gonna make it through the season but damn. I liked that I was sad at Silco's death, the emotion spurred on by his death was awesome but this. It really screwed my day, I watched it then immediately went and had a nap because I was so done. Fantastic writing still but good lord it hurt way too much.

Wreckingballryan

Hayley I think your theory re Viktor is spot on. Jayce’s vision of the refugees as monsters is the truth, and Viktor has unwittingly unleashed horrors from the void. The biggest clue IMO is that the refugees are totally different people and essentially soulless. Huck was the most cowardly dude ever in S1, and now he doesn’t even react when Jinx points a gun in his face, giant Noxian man threatens him with an axe, and when Warwick freaks out. Salo was also a totally different person. I think Viktor’s β€œhealing” essentially killed/erased the personalities of all the refugees, and that the β€œSky” in his head has been manipulating him this whole time.

i hope the show takes some risks and not give plot armor to champions, if that happens, im guessing all of this will lead to some massive global conflict which gets resolves and mages creates a reality marble where you can see the history through their eyes to commemorate the major figures in this story. a league of legends lmao. or for people that avoided a nexus event of some sort

baja

this act on another league of its own, each episode is a "season finale" good by its own! "Remember me" playing with the flashbacks! are you kidding me!

Isha did what Powder couldn't: save her family

AdmiralZhou

Just wanna say I appreciate that you twos don't watch the trailers or anything like that. Makes the reactions that much better. So many times I've watched other reactors watch the trailers cause its the thing to do for the views and then they already know whats happening in some moments, and the worst part is when they act like they didn't know what was gonna happen, lol. Also, want to share a few things I noticed. 1. Vi is the only character in the entire show to drop F-bombs. 2. The hex colour code of Vi's eye colour is translated to "powder blue" - don't know how true that is but it looks pretty close and I wouldn't put it past these creators to do something like that. 3. In the entirety of Act 2 of this season, Vi never calls Jinx by her name/s, either Powder or Jinx and when Jesus-Viktor calls Jinx, Powder, there is no reaction from Vi. Now I could be projecting, but this coupled with the fact that Vi is clearly trying to come to terms with what Powder has become, and as we have seen, has had some growth in how she feels - eg, trusting Jinx that Warwick is actually Vander, asking her opinions on things - seems to me that at some point Vi is going to renege on what she said to Jinx in episode 3 that "she killed Powder" and she will call her Powder again. Obviously at some integral point in the story with some epic music in the background, maybe with some flashbacks of their mum and all of us crying because of it. Or I could be completely wrong and it means nothing or something completely different and its just me high on copium wanting Vi and Jinx to be sisters proper again and for Vi to FOR ONCE have something good happen to her without something bad around the corner. I think it's obvious that episode 5 was my favourite of this entire season, 3 coming in close behind. All I want is the show that started with these sisters together in each others arms, to end the same way but in a positive note instead. I think because these creators like their patterns and Ouroboros storytelling that I could be right. Or its just more copium.

Ando

As per usual, the show made sure we don't get too happy. Thanks, Obama!!

I feel like in the 3rd act this emotional roller coaster is going to go off the rails and land in a pit of despair.
