He is giving black cat energy. Also the shirt in US currency was about $1,640. Nobara then asked Yuji and Megumi to put in about 520. She said we are a team!

It takes "lesser" antagonists several times that to even get close to pushing the protagonist to this point. I think that's why people hate him but also respect him as a villain. He knows exactly what to do to break someone as quickly as possible.

That’s why mahito only acknowledged Yuji at the end there not todo…Mahito once said Yuji is aware of the outline of his own soul that’s why he’s able to hurt him.
