It always strikes me with that panic when you watch a friend or family member or pet knock into something on accident and you immediately try to console them. But here... :(

Back in my day Cartoons!

I admire that, despite the sadness and horror of her death, neither of them turned away. They watched until the very end. β™₯️

Jake Smith

The wet thud Nobara makes as she hits the floor is just awful

Joshspice

I read the whole manga and I still think the same

Zain kb

Remember the quotes she said about seats in ss1? Yuji and them brought a whole ass couch 😭

Gyt

Yes pleaseeeee!

Niler Wuthichaikul

You're obvious an anime-only otherwise you wouldnt talk such nonsense

NigerianPrinceNoScam

I second this! I’d love to see their reactions to movies like β€œYour Name” πŸ˜†

Oriem

Nobara 😭 Also, you guys should watch the movie Your Name as a quick break after jjk/before the next show starts!

Amy M

Sadly it’s… *he had a name πŸ’”

Laugh Tale

You can’t be seriousπŸ’€ everyone in jjk fandom knows and complains about how jjk girls didn’t get what they deserved I can write a whole essay here and explain why.

Zain kb

You might be the dumbest jjk commenter ive seen lmao JJK literally have the best female characters in shonen

Sam F

He doesn't really get "lucky" with his escapes. Every time he escaped, he tricked his opponent with some cunning maneuver.

Mubarez Ahmad

I love Nobara SO much after her flashback, she skyrocketed up my list

OctaviusLee

Yuji can hurt mahito because yuji can see the outline of his soul due to sukuna. This is explained in the manga later on.

β€Ž

It's slowed down in the anime but in the manga nobara couldn't actually see mahito until he touched her. So that's why she was just standing there.

β€Ž

sending love girls i know the feel lmao

Jamie

it’s not β€œluck” though? mahito’s cunningness is probably his key defining characteristic- befitting the β€œhuman curse.” i get being mad at the guy i mean he’s awful lmao, but he’s a great villain and imo, very well written

Jamie

ur just being a hater

Zain kb

Should have killed her even earlier. She can’t handle these battles, should have stayed home πŸ˜„

Lufttwafe

Thanks Franky, I’ll agree with you. Although I don’t like how he gets lucky to escape.

Bruce WayneValley

This is what I was most annoyed with. Just seemed such a waste to have her killed off like that.

Chris Medcalf

Yeah, this is just a bad take. Mahito is incredibly inteligent, and basically follows a typical shonen-protagonist arc in terms of progression. He has simply been lucky in fighting people who aren't strong enough to defeat him, and when he is in any sort of danger, he immediately recognizes it and shifts tactics. Is it lucky he hadn't encountered Gojo? Sure, but you can also see in this arc that many people have survived the entirety of Gojo's life without being found out, hiding in the shadows. Mahito running away from Nobara and Yuji the second he starts taking real damage in this fight, is a perfect example of him being a well-written character if anything.

Franky H

I hate that nobara as a main female character was done dirty tbh, jjk is fun but I wish there were more good written female characters aside from maki in the story and nobara was so cool ): yuji saw everyone getting killed in front of him I feel so bad for him, I don’t know what the author has against him πŸ₯²

Zain kb

Let's not forget, Yuji has been apart of this for 6~ months. The massive amount of trauma the poor boy has gone through in such a short amount of time..

owlyoop

Yes he’s a special grade, who was brought close to death many times but still manages to escape.

Bruce WayneValley

I'm not sure what you mean, Mahito is a Special Grade, defeating a special grade for most people that aren't Gojo and other top tiers takes the cursed energy equivalent of a carpet bombing to put yourself on an even playing field. Yuji and Nobara are both 15 and while strong, don't really have output like a Special Grade such as Mahito who's been constantly getting stronger through every fight.

miles

His soul endured repeated trials throughout the show, bringing him close to death, yet he managed to survive each time.

Bruce WayneValley

I also dislike random power-ups or transformations that aren’t earned. That said, the fight between them and Mahito is inconsistent.

Bruce WayneValley

Well it's not like his soul is completely unprotected, there are even characters like nanami who needed multiple touches till mahito, a master of the soul, was able to manipulate it freely. Pretty sure his soul can still take a beating

Lucky

Real life is inconsistent, I find it refreshing that it doesn’t act like other shonen where the main character gets a random power up and saves everyone.

Daaylen Watson

Cry about it

xProKnockz

mahito undefeated, back to back champ.

Aleister Crowley

This anime is so inconsistent, Mahito's soul cannot be touched but everytime it is he gets beat to a pulp and doesnt die. Along with that other instances in the show

Bruce WayneValley

trust me, I know that very well, as I stated previously, this is just me being salty because taking out someone like nobara, to me, seems like a waste of her character

beannieswife

I think this is the lesson that the author wants to tell us from the first season. There is no proper death and looking for it is wrong.

Yuji

Yuji's VA hits the feels with his delivery of lines, its so amazing how it gets you.

sune jeppesson

Yuji and Nobara’s friendship was one of my favorites in anime. Their bond felt real, idk if that makes sense. She acknowledged his feelings of guilt for killing the curse brothers and pull him away from depression by telling him she is his accomplice, he didn’t have to be alone. That was the moment she became his best friend. Yuji guttural screaming run is haunting because he knows what is about to be taken.

James Williams

CANT WAIT FOR NEXT EPISODE

Thomas

Gotta love how evil Mahito is lol

Cosmic Ghidorah

The tonal difference between S1 and S2 is insane.

nic

yeah, tbh this is one of the few problems i have with this arc, nanami's death made sense to me, it was devastating but it felt right in some way, but taking nobara away from us, at least to me who absolutely loved the few traits that were introduce of her character in the beginning, just felt like it wasn't fair, and just like you guys said, they even did it right after we get some more depth of her personality and we get to understand the way she acts a little bit more. naaah i just wanted to see way more of her, i know it's "good writing" and the purpose is to bring yuji at his lowest, but i will always be salty ab that lol girlies you're gonna need some happy shows after this😭 i'm so sorry lol, the intro was so funny

beannieswife

i can see the transition from "i love this show" to " i hate this show"

Shashwat

11:07 Sukuna vs Mahoraga, Sukuna unleash hell in Shibuya leaving everything decimated. 11.14 Yuji sees Nanami's death. 11.19 Yuji sees Nobara's death. In less than 15 minutes, my boy Yuji saw the Shibuya incident from Sukunas POV, saw his mentor die and one of his best friends too. My man really needs therapy after this.

Cation

Just when i had accepted the Nanami tax they did my girl Nobara like this. Diabolical work. Mahito, get in the bin.

Ante

Sending you two all the hugs. JJK is a tough journey but a worthwhile one.

Sariel E

Chooo choooooo! Pain train bby! ALL ABOARD!
