Caught a migraine at work and just hid in an empty office and typed on my phone. Stupid things. Ill be fine and sorry i didn't write what happened to the slavers "able" to reach the city but you read what happened to the thieves in Winterfell. Migraine fucking hurts. Just that but out in the open.

2025-02-06 03:06:32 +0000 UTCIf you want an idea of how to write naval battles from the perspective of a captain, I have kind of an odd suggestion. Go read the Her Majesty’s Dragon series, it has really good descriptions of an officer in command of a crew during combat and although they are commanding dragons, the dragons are treated similarly to a ship in that they have a crew and fight in formation. Plus its a fantastic book.

Also, the entire world now knows that the balance of power has shifted from the agrarian south, to the more industrialized north, and house stark enjoys a monopoly on technology, feudal legalistic power, and the spiritual head and defender of the nation’s religion. I hope you continue to talk about the effects of the maritime economy shifting northwards from KL & places like old town hurting from decreased trade & the maesters monopoly on scientific advancement disappearing. Also, the north has plunged swathes of the reach into poverty by lowering global prices. Imagine how the lower classes will react to the “system” in a deep recession. Peasant uprisings!
