I wanted it to be a timeskip so the north has had time to grow and finish most of its projects, the last 2 being the inventions of better and faster ships that have helped trade immensely but has caught the eyes of Essosi traders and people who obviously start asking about it to connections in the south in Westeros who think they are crazy and the building of the nights watches forts. Moat Cailin will already be restored but any southerners coming through see the same ruins because of Owens magic.
Owens castle at sea dragon point will already have been done so he wont be at Winterfell anymore though i guess pov will change from time to time. He will also be already married now....unless you'd all want him to still be engaged so that you have a wedding chapter but i don't know if that what you want, comment if you think so.
there has also been talk on ao3 of Owen gifting the lords unique weapons as gifts that he gave them after the reveal. Should he have or not? comment your thoughts

It won’t govern them any real advantage over the Starks, and would be an excellent status symbol for them all. Would really pump up the goodwill. If you do a time skip, then yeah you can skip the wedding
