Its pretty interesting how people are saying that Skypiea has no relevance because it ddnt happen in the grandline. Then u hear the story of Noland and that there is a ponyglyph that the shandorians been protecting. How in the world can they just skip it?

This flashback is why I cannot believe some people skip this arc. This is one of my favorite flashbacks in the whole series. As someone with a love (and career) of science, the story of Noland convincing the Shandorans of the value of secular knowledge makes me so happy because that kind of thing almost never happens in real life. People are too stubborn to abandon magical thinking. And the way the themes of "god" tie back around from the sacrifices and the snake all the way to the skypieans concept of god is just so well done. The way you can tell Calgara must have been thinking "I've seen this before" when some guy claiming to be god shows up.

As far as you have seen in the world of One Piece, only pirates and revolutionary people like Koza or the Shandians go against the kings...all the other people blindly follow the good or "good" kings, greedily follow the corrupt and evil ones, or directly are oppressed by them...Noland was someone who worked under the kingdom so he had to follow the desires of his king, almost like Dalton in Drum Island...if Lvneel's king were someone as nasty as Wapol I'm sure Noland would never have taken him to Shandora, but probably that king was the typical corrupt that make moves behind the scene

Thank you for uploading these episodes so fast! Noland's execution and Gold Roger's look eerily similar! The layout of the buildings is almost identical. Noland is called a liar by a large crowd and dies filled with confusion and regret, while the other is celebrated by a large crowd and dies with confidence and a smile, both of them claiming the existence of a grand treasure. Two sides of the same coin 💯

Do you remember when they mentioned about the safe route to Sky Island? The Knockup Stream being the bad route. Majority of us OP fans believe the Giant Jack is the safe route to Sky Island. So it must be connected to one of the island. Which island, I let you cook with this theory 🫣
